WHAT IS SCIENCE SUPPOSED TO DO?

Search for Truth Science is to provide a basic understanding of the

subject and contributes in sum-total of intellect Application of science is intended to help improve

the overall quality of life in a wholesome manner. Science should help to foresee the future

holistically (cause, effect and consequences, in all its dimensions) and help in forecasting and solving the future issues within the control of human beings; without disturbing the overall equilibrium in any manner.

WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?

Science is being driven by the industry A new breed of researchers and scientists known as

‘Industry Driven Scientist’ have developed Unsustainable and potentially harmful activities and

practices (Which may originate from the application of known or new science) is presented as the ‘True Science’ with concocted data and information – purely for the reason for making some immediate and quick profit.

Industry driven scientists support such wrong concepts and the so-claimed (industry/ profit driven) ‘New Science’ mainly for incentives and pay-off’s (which may be in varied forms) and counter the claims of true genuine scientists and researchers. They create biased and unbalanced research results (and papers) and aggressively push such things in various scientific and no-scientific forums.

Besides, there are hundreds of scientific research paper between 1940’s to 1980’s claiming that no harmful effects of tobacco use can be found …. or countering genuine research highlighting harms of tobacco.

Later it was found that most of such research/ research-papers had direct and/or indirect support from the tobacco industry.

Claims of the tobacco industry …. backed by SCIENCE?Tobacco industry also ensured that any genuine research on harms of tobacco, carried out anywhere in the world, is discouraged and stopped.

A massive campaign and strategic intervention was initiated and followed by the tobacco industry.

The campaign against genuine efforts to “End Tobacco” still continues in 2013. Only the partners of the tobacco industry have changed!

SO ….. WHERE DO YOU PLACE THE ‘INDUSTRY DRIVEN SCIENTISTS’ NOW? Not every claim that this is scientific is

correct …. especially in the case of things which are promoted by industry and driven by profit motive …. Rather most of it has major concealments

Not every researcher who publishes a paper in a “Scientific Journal” is a “True Researcher,” there may be many motives behind it.

The ‘Industry Driven Scientists’ can be called the ‘Prostitutes of Science.’ Anyone pays them to get them. A wide range of variety exists!

SOME INDICATIONS OF ‘INDUSTRY DRIVEN SCIENTISTS’

They will use phrases like, “Progress of Science,” “New Science,” “Growth of Economy,” “Good for Industrial Growth,” “Intellectual Property Gains,” etc… and will often talk in terms of consumption indicating patterns. (including growth in property holding – intellectual property especially)

Will talk in one-dimension only .. without connecting it comprehensively with all other dimensions, effects and consequences

They will never talk about “Risks,” “Risk Assessment,” “Risk Analysis,” etc…

Will have media backing and planted articles in favour of their science (thought its benefits are not proven a yet) … it often has a clear pattern.

Would counter anyone who talks about precautionary principles and/or risk-assessment, etc.

IN MY OPINION

Such ‘Industry Driven Scientists’ are the biggest enemy of

science, mankind and the world.

They deserve much greater punishment

than any rapist or murderer.
