Industry Events *Updated August 10 Interns have the opportunity to participate in exciting industry events Mitacs has identified in major cities across Canada. Mitacs pays for any tickets or fees required for these events; however, interns do not receive a travel or food stipend. You are encouraged to attend at least one industry event and select a second event if your first choice is not available. Interns must contact Mitacs if they wish to register, and receive their ticket from Mitacs staff – direct registration with the event will not be reimbursed. After starting your internship, contact Mitacs and tell us the event you wish to attend. Interns are not able to request registration prior to arrival. How to request registration: 1. Interns have the opportunity to participate in exciting industry events Mitacs has identified in major cities across Canada. Mitacs pays for any tickets or fees required for these events; however, interns do not receive a travel or food stipend. You are encouraged to attend at least one industry event and select a second event if your first choice is not available.

Interns must contact Mitacs if they wish to register, and receive their ticket from Mitacs staff – direct registration with the event will not be reimbursed. After starting your internship, contact Mitacs and tell us the event you wish to attend. Interns are not able to request registration prior to arrival.

How to request registration:

1. Review the current list of events on the Globalink Information website.

2. After starting your internship, contact Mitacs through https://helpdesk.mitacs.ca and tell us the event you wish to attend at least two weeks prior to the event date, and which event is your second choice.

3. If there are seats available, Mitacs will register you in your first event and give you your ticket.
