STARBUCKS AND LADY GAGA TEAM UP FOR SCAVENGER HUNT

Twitter and Foursquare pages. Prizes up for grabs included VIP access to the singer’s forthcoming tour and signed merchandise. The partnership is one made in social media heaven. Lady Gaga recently became the first person to amass 10 million Twitter followers, while Starbucks became the first brand to net 10 million Facebook likes back in July of 2010.

Ubiquitous coffee brand Starbucks teamed up with global pop superstar Lady Gaga for a two week digital scavenger hunt in the lead up to the release of her new album ‘Born this Way’.

The game invited fans of the artist to search for and decipher clues, which were hidden across a range of Starbucks digital platforms including their Facebook,

VODAFONE-BRANDED TAXIS OFFER MOBILE PAYMENT & CHARGING

campaigns ever seen in the capital. Their bold and colourful UnionJack design is made up of over 2000 London street names, will make an eye-catching addition to the city, as well as easy to spot for anyone who needs to charge up their phone. They will be followed next week by the first of a fleet of Vodafone-branded Heathrow Express trains.

Vodafone is aiming to keep Londoners connected with a new fleet of branded taxis which for the first time will allow passengers to recharge their phones on the move. Vodafone customers will also be able to pay for their journeys via text message.

The taxi cabs will take to the streets in one of the biggest ‘wrapping’ advertising

KARL LAGERFELD REVAMPS THE DIET COKE BOTTLE

The white, pink and black coloured limited-edition bottles, featuring Lagerfeld’s signature silhouette, will hit shelves in June.

In addition to designing the bottles, Lagerfeld photographed models Coco Rocha, Heidi Mount and Jeneil Williams in the accompanying advertising campaign.

Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld is bringing haute couture to soft drinks, unveiling three new bottle designs for Diet Coke.

Lagerfeld, 77, famously shed nearly 45kg in 2001, crediting a diet of stewed vegetables and Diet Coke.

The fridge has been given to an influential twitter celebrity and thanks to a clever bit of technology automatically tweets each time it is opened.

Busy lives and the saturation of other beverage brands means people in Brazil aren’t drinking enough water. Bottled water brand Bonafont have decided to do something about this and so naturally have created a ‘Tweeting Fridge’.

TWITTER INTRODUCES ‘FOLLOW’ BUTTON

Sites such as IMDb, AOL, CBS, Glamour, GQ, MTV, Wired, Vanity Fair, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post have all added the button.

Twitter has announced the launch of a ‘Follow’ button. The button gives users an easy way to discover new Twitter accounts and follow them in one click.
