Dear Readers,

Welcome to the splendid season of Spring! Mother nature brings us lush emerald greens, violet blues, and crisp cool breezes to awaken our senses!

The birds always give it away as they hop from branch to branch delightfully singing their song! Can you hear the rush of water flowing along the riverbanks clearing away any debris from Winter’s conclusion? As we sometimes stumble on a rock or two along our own path, we too must clear away any debris scattered about like fragments of our lives. We can discover missing pieces that at one time seemed unimportant, but now, like an old shoe, we find it fits perfect and is so comfortable.

Let us be thankful for the season of Spring that is upon us, May we now rest our weary heads and continue on to create a new way, a better way to experience the miracle of Life.

There is a safe haven under the brilliant sunny sky, choose to acknowledge one simple token of Spring to remind you that everything changes in good time. Clear any clutter from your mind, prepare for growth, it starts with just one tiny seed of thought. Let it all go and stroll down memory lane once in awhile, reflect on how far you have come.

Let your compass be your guide and step forward in a new direction, the best that life has to offer is still to come. Stabilize and be steady in pace, it is true that the tortoise always wins the race.

Laughter really is the best medicine, enjoy the life you have created, there is no time for regrets. Step into a new reality, everything that is precious, you hold in the palm of your hand, it is yours for the taking if you just believe in yourself.

Ahhh Spring! What took you so long? Let us be reminded that things are so much better when it is long awaited for. Take delight observing the signs of Spring, the earth is sending a message, rebirth is prevalent. Abundance is abound as we honor the sacred heart within us.

Spring forward this season and behold the tenderness of the sprouting seeds of hope that surrounds us in our world, plant happiness in your garden of life.

Yours in health,

Jane Phillips

The LIIFT Motto: STOP CHEATING YOURSELF! Stop limiting the good in your life. What it is not: “Talk Therapy”, “Psychological Counseling” or any other kind of psychological therapy. What it is: a remarkably simple healing process which enables you to quickly remove the emotional or familial underbrush in your life so you can enjoy more happiness and success.Testimonies about LIIFT:-From client LB: “This is so easy and fast compared with all the therapy I’ve been in!”-From a professional healer: “Wow! What a difference in results now that I’ve added LIIFT to my practice.”-From a LIIFT practitioner: “My client was depressed, almost suicidal despite nearly 40 years of therapy. In the fi rst session we LIIFTED her depression away. In the second session we uncovered the core issue of all her pain, and we LIIFTED away about a third of it. Next time we’ll get the rest.”-From client JS: “In four weeks I have gone from sabotaging my sales effort to selling so much I’m having to move to a bigger offi ce and hire some help.”How does LIIFT heal you?LIIFT is non-invasive, nonlinear and quite simple. Guided by the healer, the process taps into the client’s subconscious wisdom and traumatic memories to determine the fastest path to a total healing. The client needn’t talk about the issue or re-experience the upset. Rather, the subconscious identifi es each next step to heal. Then the healing process occurs and the problem is gone. Typically each new client fi nishes that fi rst session, knowing that s/he has had a life-changing experience.LIIFT is effective for issues like these:Grief Alleviation – ADD/ADHD – Self-Doubt – Low Self-Esteem – Feeling Unloved or Unloveable – Career Problems – Social Dysfunction – Abused Child or Adult – Depression or Rage – PTSD – General Life Malaise – Relationship Diffi culties – Remove Emotions that Support Cancer GrowthHow the client experiences change:Often when change occurs, the client is the last to notice because the change is complete and internal. So LIIFT incorporates the “Maximum Permitted Happiness” index, which enables the client to visually see the healing.Contact Pastor Brian Eastman more information about:-Free introductory healing sessions -LIIFT healing group sessions – One-on-One Healing Sessions -Healer Training Seminars -Presentations about LIIFT to your organizationLIIFT.info 513 853 [email protected]

The Art of Talking to Yourself Hypnosis Can Change Your Life - At the Speed of Thought

What would you change in your life if you could do it at the speed of thought? Would you change the bad habits that have kept you struggling with your weight? Would you stop smoking, stop having fears, phobias, anxiety, or stress? The truth is you can experience these changes at the speed of thought.

Bad habits are not erased - they are replaced by new habits. When old patterns of thoughts and actions no longer satisfy you, your desire for change intensifies. The speed with which you can create a new habit is largely determined by the intensity of the emotion that accompanies the decision to make that change.

Many people in the mental health fields believe that you need to hit rock bottom before you are truly ready to change. I have a slightly different view of what is needed for change; a more clear definition of “rock bottom” must first be established, however. It is my belief that the intensity of the motivating factors for the decision to change is very important. However, I do not believe that you need to experience your worst possible state in order to make a conscious choice to improve your life. You only need to know what you Do want.

To make a change you must first know what you want to change. I work with people every day that have decided to make some type of change in their life. I will always ask my clients “what do you want”? The majority of them will first begin to tell me what they don’t want. “I don’t want to smoke”, “I don’t want to feel this way”, “I don’t want to have these poor eating habits” and on and on. This “I don’t want” type of thinking keeps you repeating your habitual patterns that are creating the misery to begin with.

The good news is that when you are able to change the thought of “I don’t want” to “I do want” the change is very rapid. When you are able to start thinking about what you do want your mind will begin to create the thoughts that promote those positive actions. The rapid changes that my clients experience happen not because I am a great and powerful hypnotist. They happen because I am able to, with the use of hypnosis, tap into that part of their mind that holds the patterns of unsatisfying thoughts.

by William Molitor, BCH, CI

The process that I use once you are inside of that part of your mind called the “subconscious” is self empowering. Very few people change because someone told them to. This is why I do not rely on the age old tactics of “direct suggestions”, alone.

The Advanced Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy Techniques used at our Center create a mental environment that allows you as the client to create the new thoughts, which will promote the changes that you do want. These new thoughts created by you have the emotional intensity embedded in them, which are necessary for immediate results. I do not use methods that create undue emotional trauma; instead this hypnotherapeutic process helps to create the emotional response state that is most rewarding and therefore most desirable. It is in this highly positive emotional state that the mind is most creative and accepts new and improved information.

People who have used outdated hypnosis techniques of the past often do not know how or why they changed. This often leaves them powerless to maintain the change if something in their life triggers an old auto response, known as a habit. When the hypnotic process employs techniques of self empowerment and knowledge you not only know why you changed so rapidly but you also know how to maintain or improve that change throughout your life.

These emotionally charged thoughts produce the positive actions necessary for change. When you learn to properly access the powerful unrelenting part of your mind through hypnosis you can and will experience change at the speed of thought.

Arts Olympus - Making a Difference in the World

With all the tragic events that you see in the news today there is one organization that is making a positive difference on this earth. Let me introduce you to the ARTS OLYMPUS, an organization of artists dedicated to earth, humanity and global goodwill that has on the drawing board to set sail on a “Ship of Global Goodwill.” A modern day “Noah’s Ark,” artists assembled from all lands will reach out and touch the lives of millions of people as traveling the oceans of the world. A powerful statement of hope for humanity, this vessel will travel to entire populations of people in cities worldwide with free public performances to entertain, educate and celebrate the world’s cultural diversity. ARTS & BUSINESS in London described the Arts Olympus as the “Sexiest Intercultural Event in the World.” Our press launch on the historic Queen Mary ship captured four and a half stars out of five in the LOS ANGELES TIMES with a dazzling free public display of cultural performances representing many cultures.

For over a decade the Arts Olympus has been positioning itself worldwide to create a global infrastructure to create practically a “United Nations of Artists.” Recently UNESCO in New York discovered the Arts Olympus and it’s global arts activities and now wants to see about potential collaborations with creating a WORLD ARTS VILLAGE which would be a land base where artists from all parts of the globe could come together to compose, rehearse, and preview programing before taking it to audiences in the millions on our ship. This land base will be called the “Olympus Village” an eco-friendly self-sustainable community that will host creative genius of many cultures. Recently members of the Arts Olympus team were invited to visit the South American country of Ecuador to tour the country and meet with the ministry of Culture and Education. The Arts Olympus was very well received and there is talk about having land donated to create this world class cultural hub within their country.

Tourists coming from around the world will flock to this world class destination to witness brilliant performances, be in the company of creative genius and make new friends on an international scale. Unprecedented anywhere in the world, this unique “Olympus Village” will not only be an international cultural center and educational institution but will create jobs, stimulate commerce, and dramatically increase tourism traveling to this location like no other in the world.

Enriching humanity and bringing harmony to the world, the Arts Olympus believes that exposure to artistic expression, in all its glorious forms, is an important component in developing harmony of body, mind and soul which increases all-around vitality of individuals and groups and better enables them to perform as peaceful, joyous members of the human race. With all the tragic events that exist in the world today, the Arts Olympus will be one powerful statement of hope for humanity and be a milestone in the minds of all who believe that world peace starts form the heart.

Rebirthby Cindy Huff & Terri Noftsger

A couple of weeks ago, I took a break from work and walked outside. The sun was out, and I noticed something was ...different. I could not quite fi gure out what, exactly, so I decided to just stand still and see if some insight popped out from the murky depths of my mind.

I began to sense a thread, a nuance, a subtle undercurrent fl owing around me. I slowed my inner self down some more, and attempted to become still and quiet, to sink down into my surroundings. A tiny thread began to weave around me, and as I explored it, I began to feel a sense of hope, of promise, of quiet joy.

I began to notice things like the peeper frogs singing. Their song became louder as I allowed my awareness to expand. The colors of the trees and the grass began to glow, to pulsate with a life force that I had not sensed before. I noticed that the songs of the birds had changed, that I was hearing birds that I had not heard all winter.

I looked over at our bird feeders, and noticed that the

seed levels were going down more slowly. The birds were fi nding food elsewhere, or they were occupied with mating and beginning their families.

I remembered brushing our dogs earlier that day, and how much hair had come off in the brush. I looked at our horses out in the pasture, and saw how caked with mud they were... A sure sign that they were trying to get rid of their winter coats. I remembered that I saw a large herd of deer in the fi eld down the road a few times over the last week. I caught a glimpse of our hawk overhead, and I remembered that our housemate mentioned seeing a red fox cross our road the day before.

The insight that came to me is a very simple and profound one. Every year, the Earth and all her collective beings agree that it is time to wake up, to rebirth/ reinvent themselves. Once the decision is made, each being begins its rebirth dance. For some, this dance is slow and graceful. For others, like the crocuses and daffodils, it seems sudden and vibrant. We humans, who insist on

Apr / May 2013

Page 7: Infinity April / May 2013

insulating ourselves from our Grandmother Earth behind building walls and conditioned air, feel a vague sense of restlessness. We might catch ourselves looking out the window more, or looking up at the sky on our way to our cars at the end of a work day. We stubbornly insist that we are not subject to Grandmother Earth’s whims, but in fact, we decide right along with Grandmother and the rest of Her beings to rebirth/ reinvent ourselves each year.

Our animals model for us how simple this really is. We were looking for Obi the other day, and he was laying out in the middle of the yard in the dirt, just enjoying being outside in the sun. We have observed our horses starting to take their “sun naps” again, enjoying the longer hours of sunlight. Our cat Diana is absent for longer periods of time during the day, no doubt hunting for unsuspecting mice and chipmunks staggering from their dens after a long, cold, hungry winter.

Let’s all stop pretending we don’t feel that little thread of excitement, of renewal right now. Instead, let’s play hookey from our normal routine - for just one hour - and give into that desire to be renewed, reborn. Get outside, take a walk and BE in your surroundings. Open your skin and immerse yourself in the hope and joy around you. Think outside your normal box - is there something new you want to do or be? Decide, for that hour, to allow yourself to experience hope and joy. Who knows, you may even decide to take the day off and spend it outdoors at a favorite park or in your own backyard.

Happy Spring everyone! Enjoy.

The Quality of water we drink daily is an area of concern to many people. There are many products on the market to enhance the taste of our water, along with solutions to manage water quality in our homes and offices. These are viewed as quality of life products in many regards, and with no doubt that filtering water works greatly to reduce bacteria and odor from our water.

Under the Safe Water Drinking Act, the US Environment Protection Agency (EPA) is responsible for setting national drinking water standards. The EPA regulates over 80 contaminants-including arsenic, e-coli, cryptosporidia, chlorine, and lead-that may be found in drinking water from public water systems. While the EPA says that 90 percent of US public water systems meet its standards, you may want to use a water filter to further ensure your water’s safety. Contaminants that sneaked into city water supplies studied by the nonprofit Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) include rocket fuel, arsenic, lead, fecal waste, and chemical by-products created during water treatment. Despite the problems with public water, it’s still just as safe as bottled water, despite the billions of dollars beverage companies spend to make you think bottled is better.

You may think that one water filter is as good as another, but think again. The filter you buy on impulse may not keep your family safe. There isn’t a one-type fits all kind of water filter: not every filter type will eliminate every contaminant. You’ll save money and ensure that you’re targeting the contaminants of concern in your area by doing a little research up front.

“Most people purchase the wrong equipment because they skip this very important step, and then they’ve wasted money and resources on a system that isn’t making their water any safer.

Check your water utility’s “Consumer Confidence Report,” which it must mail to you each year before July 1 by law. The report details where your drinking water comes from, what contaminants have been found in it, and how contaminant levels compare with national standards. You can also call your utility and ask for a copy, or visit www.epa.gov/safewater to see if it’s online

Water filters come in dizzying variety from plastic pitchers filters and built-in refrigerator filters, to faucet and under- the-sink filters, to whole- house models. What type you want

depends on your needs. If, after examining your Consumer Confidence Report (or preferable, your current and several past reports), you find that your water regularly tests better than EPA levels, you may just want a filter that can remove the chemicals your local utility uses to treat the water.

These chemicals mayor may not show up on your report. Call and ask your utility if it uses chlorine, a suspected respiratory and neurological toxin, or chloramines, a suspected blood and respiratory toxin. Chlorine combines with organic elements during the water treatment process to produce carcinogenic by-products. The best type of filter to remove chlorine and its byproducts is a combination carbon/KDF adsorption filter, which range from shower and faucet filters to sink and whole house filters. A regular carbon filter won’t remove chloramines, so look for a catalytic carbon filter instead. If you only have one or two contaminants, a smaller unit, such as a countertop or under- the-sink filter, may meet your needs.

Some experts recommend looking for a filter certified by NSF International, a nonprofit organization that conducts safety testing for the food and water industries. NSF tests and certifies water filters to ensure that they both meet the NSF safety standards and are effective at removing contaminants as claimed by the manufacturer. Underwriters Laboratories and the Water Quality Association also offer similar certification, based on the NSF standard. NSF has different certifications, so when you read the label, first make sure it says the filter will remove the contaminants you’re most concerned about. A filter certified by NSF to remove chlorine isn’t going to be helpful if you need it to remove nitrates. Then, look for the NSF seal, Underwriters Laboratories’ “UL Water Quality” mark, or the water Quality Association Gold Seal for added assurance that your filter will actually do what the box claims.

US water treatment and distribution systems date back several decades, and they need repairs and upgrades to make water safer for human and environmental health. The public utilities will be using treatment chemicals well into the future, and our systems may never be perfect. YOU CAN! Take responsibility for your family’s health and well being by carefully considering whether you need to take additional steps to make your water the healthiest it can be.

Water softening is popular in hard water areas where the mineral content effects how water reacts to our skin, hair and general use. You’ve experienced the lack of shampoo or soap lather that can be produced by hard water, however hard water is a separate issue from water purification. Water softening for us is a quality of life issue. We can only manage the water quality by pulling out the contaminates and minerals that exist.

Filters by TypeHere’s a brief overview of the different filter types:

Adsorption: These filters run water past adsorbent medium-like carbon, charcoal. KDF (a copper-zinc formulation), and ceramic-to which liquids, gases, and dissolved or suspended matter will adhere. These are best at removing organic contaminants and chlorine, they may also make your water taste better. They won’t remove nitrates, some heavy metals, and fluoride, and they can become bacteria havens if you don’t change your filter cartridge regularly. Types: Whole-house and point-of-use kitchen sink, shower, and faucet filters, as well as pitcher filters.

Distillers: These systems heat Water to the boiling point then collect the water vapors as it condenses, leaving many contaminants behind, particularly the heavy metals. Some contaminants that convert readily into gases, such as volatile organic chemicals, may be carried over with the water vapor, so some distillation systems also use carbon filters to remove some of those contaminants. These are best at removing inorganic contaminants, like heavy metals, nitrates, and hardness (i.e. calcium and magnesium). They can remove some bacteria. Some consumers complain that the water tastes “flat” after distillation. These filters won’t remove chloramines, Type: Point-of-use sink filters.

Filter membranes: these consist of a membrane or series of

membranes that trap particles above a certain size and allow everything else to pass through. The filtration openings are generally larger than reverse-osmosis membranes, and they can be used in conjunction with other filter types, such as UV. A “1 micron” filter will remove particles and most bacteria, cryptospiridia, and viruses. Types: Point- of -use and whole-house filter.

Reverse osmosis filter: use normal household water pressure to force water through a semi permeable membrane, which separates contaminants from the water. These are best for removing bacteria. However, for every three gallons you run through the filter, you’ll only get one gallon of water. You can redirect the waste water to a graywater system. Types: point-of-use kitchen sink filter.

Ultraviolet treatment filters: use ultraviolet light to disinfect water or reduce bacteria. They’re great for removing bacteria and viruses, but they won’t remove chemical pollutants. Types: Whole house filters, and point-of-use sink filters.

If your concerned about the water your family is drinking. Please give A-Abel Family of Companies a call at 937-434-4343 ask for the plumbing department, our expert staff will be glad to answer your questions.

Religious Recovery by Pastor Wayne Holmes

The following story is based upon a true event.

Judy walked into the chiropractor’s office with a measure of trepidation. Not because of the doctor—she had been to chiropractors before and knew what to expect—but because of the circumstances surrounding her visit.

“What brings you in today, Judy?” asked the doctor.

“I’ve got a horrible pain in the back of my neck that won’t go away,” she said.

“How long have you had it?”

She knew exactly when the pain started.

“Since last Saturday, and it just won’t go away.”

As he gently examined her neck he asked, “What were you doing.”

Judy’s uneasiness increased. She had a confession to make, but she was reluctant to broach the subject.

“I was at a funeral and near the end of the eulogy the minister started talking about making a commitment to Jesus. He asked everyone to bow their heads. He told us to raise our heads and look him in the eye if we’d made a commitment to Jesus, and then we could stand.”

“Wow,” said the doctor, “that’s awful. And, it’s causing you to tighten up just talking about it.”

“I wasn’t about to look up. He was trying to control and manipulate me and everyone in the room, and it just felt wrong. He was stubborn, but eventually I outlasted him. My neck was bent forward for so long that I came away with a stiff neck.”

Judy told me she felt she had to take a stand—figuratively speaking—against what the minister was trying to do. She had come to honor her friend, and the minister took advantage of a captive audience to further his own agenda, and it angered her. The doctor worked out the pain in Judy’s neck, but as she reports to me, the ache in her spirit stayed with her for years.

Religious Recovery by Pastor Wayne Holmes I’ve met many people who’ve shared similar stories

of religious excess in one form or another. How do we heal from religious hurts, disappointments, and abuse? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a place to go where you could talk openly about those experiences without fear of judgment? Perhaps a place like the fictional bar in the television series “Cheers.” A place “…where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came.” I can hear you singing it now.

I have a place like that in my life. I don’t frequent it often these days, but in my past I visited a twelve-step program to help cope with a troubled child. No judgment, only acceptance, love, and understanding. In many ways that twelve-step group felt like being in church.

Because of that experience, I came upon an idea for a new mode of healing—spiritual healing. Loosely based on the twelve-step meetings, I created “Religious Recovery,” a thirteen-step group for those hurt by religion.

Similarities: Here are some of the ways Religious Recovery is similar to twelve-step programs. Confidentiality or anonymity is paramount to success: first names, initials, or pen names are recommended. No titles such as Doctor, Reverend, Priest, or Rabbi.

Crosstalk is discouraged. “Should-ing” or “Ought-ing” is discouraged. Speak from the heart, tell your own story, and allow others to decide if it resonates with them.

Meetings are autonomous. Each forms their own structure. No fees or dues. Donations are accepted but never obligatory. The meetings are run in an open forum discussion.

Differences:

Thirteen “Steps” instead of twelve, and they do not have to be worked in order—or at all. Thirteen “Stones” instead of “The Twelve Traditions.”

We use the term “The Divine” instead of “Higher Power” to refer to that which is greater than self.

Other Things to Know:

Religious Recovery is open to all religious beliefs—Christian, Buddhist, Hindu—all religions of the

world. We discourage the specific mention of religious organizations, denominations within those organizations, and specific religious leaders. We encourage people not to speak negatively or positively about specific religious organizations or leaders—simply tell your experience. The Religious Recovery program is not trying to turn people away from religious institutions or leaders, or to proselytize for any religious institution or leader.

Our goal is spiritual healing and growth. Our mission is to help those who have been hurt, disappointed, or abused by religion.

The program is in its infancy. Books and literature are in the works. At this time we have a group in the Cincinnati area. If you are interested in attending or hosting a meeting, contact Wayne Holmes at [email protected] or (513) 858-6609. The Cincinnati group meets at 4800 Holiday Drive in Fairfield, Ohio on Tuesdays from 7-8 PM.

Your cell is ringing, your boss wants to talk to you, everyone is asking what’s for dinner, someone’s ringing your doorbell....Anxiety and stress are in everyone’s life. If you need a break you might want to give yoga a try.

Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning “union” or “joining” of body, mind and spirit. The focus is usually on postures, (gentle breathing exercises) breathing and meditation/relaxation.

Many years ago, Wanda Lyninger, started taking Yoga because her doctor wanted her to exercise after she almost lost her leg from blood clots. She went to the Ymca and the only class she could take was Yoga. In 1998, she became a certifi ed Yoga teacher.

It’s exciting teaching Yoga and seeing the students learn to accept themselves without judgement or criticism. Soon by looking inward they see that Yoga is a path to fi nding their own spirituality. It’s a tool to relax, let go and live in the moment. That’s diffi cult in this present world.

Understanding Yoga

Yoga has many styles, forms and intensities. Hatha yoga, in particular, may be a good choice for stress management. Hatha is one of the most common styles of yoga, and beginners may like its slower pace and easier movements. But most people can benefi t from any style of yoga — it’s all about your personal preferences.

The core components of hatha yoga and most general yoga classes are:

•Poses. Yoga poses, also called postures, are a series of movements designed to increase strength and fl exibility. Poses range from lying on the fl oor while completely relaxed to diffi cult postures that may have you stretching your physical limits. Exercises include gentle stretching, strengthening and balancing movements that can be done on the fl oor with a mat, chair, bed or pool or wheelchair.

•Breathing. Controlling your breathing is an important part of yoga. In yoga, breath signifi es your vital energy.

Yoga teaches that controlling your breathing can help you control your body and quiet your mind. Breathing exercises includes slow, diaphragmatic techniques that strengthen the respiratory and circulatory systems.

•Relaxation and meditation procedures release tension throughout the body, improve concentration, increases circulation to the heart and brighten the mood.

•Philosophy of Yoga is to enhance creative thought, promote inner growth, self-respect and positive self-image, greater tolerance of others.

The Health Benefi ts of Yoga

•Stress reduction. A number of studies have shown that yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your mood and overall sense of well-being.

•Improved fi tness. Practicing yoga can lead to improved balance, fl exibility, range of motion and strength. And this means you’re less likely to injure yourself in other physical endeavors or in your daily activities.

•Management of chronic conditions. Yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia

We Walk Together In Greatness and Beauty

by Terrance Branner-Bullock, Spiritual Practitioner

We are the Sacred seed as Children of God made in Its Image and Likeness. Since we are born with free will, our consciousness activates the seed or the seed lays dormant but never diminishes, or dissolves. We could take a lesson from nature because no matter what the season, nature is always consciously expressing its perfection. It knows what to be, and when to be it, and we get the blessed opportunity to experience its divinity and beauty. Dr. Ernest Holmes states in The Science of Mind Textbook “The seed of perfection is hidden within. This original Life is Infi nitely good and fi lled with Peace. It is of the Essence of purity, it is the ultimate of Intelligence. It is Power, it is Law, it is Life, and it is Us. In that inner sanctuary of our own nature perhaps hidden from our objective glaze, nestles the seed of Perfection.” Therein lies the seed and we are here to recognize its Divinity, activate it, let Infi nitely blossom, share it, and walk together rev-elating in its Beauty and bounty!

When we resonate, and activate the seed of greatness from within, we get the blessed opportunity to allow it to well up, grow, bloom, and share it with each Beloved Being on the planet that we come in contact with and it will blossom Infi nitely as long as it is loving, non-conditional, and has no agenda, and wants nothing in return just like nature.

Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote a beautiful affi rmation that goes as follows,” I affi rm that there is nothing in me that could hurt, harm, or hinder myself or those around me from entering into the fullness of their own joy, into completeness of their own self expression, into the Perfection of their own being.”

Experience the love vibration and wisdom of Spiritual Practitioner - Terrance Branner-Bullock at Agape Journey of Awakening on Sunday, May 26th - from 11 am to 12 pm – Cost Free (Love offerings are welcome) Quality Inn Hotel in Miamisburg, Ohio – 250 Byers Road – For more information call 937-397-2668.

Baker Chiropractic Testimonial

Kasey and Dr. Patrick Baker

One of the many benefits of our chiropractic care is how it addresses and optimizes a person’s overall health (both physical and mental). Kasey is a great example of how and why it works.

Here’s Kasey’s story:

“I found out about Baker Chiropractic from another parent on my sons football team. The parent approached me and politely pointed out he noticed my son ran awkwardly and was one of the slowest kids on the team.

Children of the World Welcome to our new feature, “Children of the World”! In each issue Infinity magazine will feature children of all ages spanning the globe, letting their voice be heard on various topics throughout the year.

This issue, two brothers were asked how they feel after they receive a chiropractic adjustment from Dr. Patrick Baker. Here’s what they said:

“I feel happy after I get adjusted.” -- Jaylin Pendleton, 7 yrs old.

“I feel good and I feel comfortable. And during sports, I don’t get hurt as much. “ -- Damario Pendleton, 8 years old (He plays football and basketball).

No More Ear Infections!

Ear aches in childhood are not inevitable.

The constant crying and sleepless nights take as much of a toll on the parents as they do on the child. Ear infections (acute otitis media) are one of the top reasons for pediatrician appointments and about 50% of all children experience their first one before they even reach their first birthday!

The symptoms of ear infection may include pain, fever, irritability, and loss of appetite. Pulling on the ear or shaking their head is usually a sign that your child has ear pain. Sometimes the pressure causing the pain in the middle ear builds to a point where the eardrum bursts, and blood and pus are discharged from the ear, giving you real cause for concern. Relax, generally you child will feel better once this has occurred and the hole in the ear allows any remaining fluid to drain.

Many pediatricians treat ear infections with a round of antibiotics. Chronic ear infections? The doctor will usually recommend insertion of ear tubes to “keep everything working properly.”

Research over the past decade or so, however, shows that a conservative approach is often the best response. In fact, recurrent ear infections often result from medication given to your child for the first ear infection, including children’s pain relievers and decongestants!

Some believe that allergies, particularly to dairy products which increase mucous production, may cause chronic ear infections. Once removed from your child’s diet, the incidence of ear infections may drop significantly. Breastfeeding, particularly during the first few months of life, is associated with fewer ear infections in babies; it also gives added protection against other types of infection.

Many parents have discovered that chiropractic care not only relieves ear infections but can help prevent them. One study found that 93 percent of all childhood ear infections improved with chiropractic care. Seventy-five percent of the cases showed improvement in less than 10 days while 43 percent improved with only an adjustment or two! All this without drugs or surgery! Do you have - or know - a child we could help?

When Kasey was two, he fell and broke his femur. He was put in a body cast for two months. After the cast came off he had to learn how to sit up, crawl and walk again. I noticed right away that something wasn’t right about the way he moved and that he did not like to run. We went to different medical doctors about it several times. The answer was always the same, “He will out grow it.”

Around the same time he broke his leg, he started having asthma attacks in his sleep. It was to the point I would have to run hot steamy showers to get him to stop coughing. We also thought Kasey was a hard headed child that would not listen to anything we asked him to do. Come to find out he had so much fluid build up behind his ear drums that he could not hear us. They put tubes in his ears to drain the fluid but he continued to have ear infections at least once a month. Kasey also struggled with school work. He knew the answers to questions but was not able to process them from his mind to paper. He had a hard time blending sounds when reading simple stories.

We decided to take this parent’s advice and go see Dr. Baker. Come to find out Kasey’s upper spine was out which was connected to his ears and his thinking process.

His lower spine was also out from breaking his leg. Kasey has been seeing Dr. Baker for 2 years now and it is amazing the difference we see in him. He now loves to run, hasn’t had a asthma attack or an ear infection in 2 years and has brought his grades up in school from needing assistance in every subject to now being above average on most subjects. Kasey is now reading chapter books and has a 100% in Math. He loves to play football, basketball and baseball. We are so proud of him.

Before we started taking him to see Dr. Baker, Kasey’s self esteem was extremely low after everything he had been through. Now he is extremely happy, loves all sports and full of energy. We are very thankful for Dr. Baker and everything he has done for Kasey. I would and have recommended Dr. Baker to several friends. Thank you Dr. Baker!”

The Emotions Behind Disease

While good Nutrition and physical fitness form a platform for physical health, the mind can also affect health in powerful ways. An individual’s state of mind has a profound influence on health and well-being. This is understood well in many Holistic healing modalities, and is now being understood to an increasing degree in Western Medicine.

We now understand that the mind and the body communicate continuously and bi-directionally (two-way). The Nervous and Endocrine Systems form the primary means of communication, integration and coordination in the body. Electrical impulses, carried by the Nervous System, transport information through the body to other Systems and cells, and internal communication also occurs via chemical messengers as neurotransmitters, and as hormones produced by the Endocrine System. Scientists have discovered over 200 different neurotransmitters (so far!) circulating in the body.

Research carried out at Harvard and the National Institutes of Health show that neurotransmitters and hormones respond to thoughts and feelings (plus energy, nutrients, toxins, etc). This is the mind-body connection in which changes in the mental-emotional state have been found to cause changes in body physiology.

As one example, in Western Medicine, we understand the negative impact of prolonged stress, which raises several hormones including Cortisol, on several body systems including the Immune, Nervous and Musculo-Skeletal Systems.

Emotions play a central role in our biological equilibrium. In many healing traditions, each organ and system of the body is said to have an emotional/ spiritual connection, and it is believed that the Soul speaks through the body, showing us what we need to address and repair, emotionally and spiritually (for the Soul’s benefit, not the Ego’s)! What we are not addressing emotionally we will manifest physically,

and we often suppress our fears, our anger, and our discontent so we do not have to deal with these strong emotions on a daily basis.

Our bodies echo our emotional narrative and our inner dialogue. So the body, with all its creaks, squeaks, and unwanted manifestations, is a great tool for Spiritual Development! In some healing traditions, unresolved Anger is believed to anchor primarily in the Liver, Fear in the Kidneys, Worry and Obsessions in the Spleen, etc.

So unwelcome symptoms can reveal disharmony, and chronic illness is said to yield clues to long-term, bottled up feelings. The issue is -- the body holds on to the energy of an unresolved emotion, and these stuck or displaced feelings manifest as excessive, deficient, or stagnant energy in the body that needs to be finally addressed to restore balance and health. Ignored feelings do not simply go away … if we ignore the feelings that matter most, they can become [what’s] the matter within us!

Through introspection, obstacles, including illnesses, can become opportunities for enrichment and spiritual growth. Instead of looking at our unwell body as betraying us, realize that our body is lovingly holding onto our issues until we resolve them, which is for the highest growth of our Soul. Instead of blaming our body, Thank it for showing us what we need to heal. Our bodies can cause us to confront aspects of ourselves we might not otherwise consciously realize. Profound healings often stem from finally resolving emotional issues. Find your junk so you can let it go!

In many ways chocolate can be beneficial, but on the other hand it has some bad effects that need to be considered. It must be considered that chocolate has some aphrodisiac effects. Because of the potassium that is in the cocoa bean, it affects the posterior pituitary gland which delivers antidiurectic hormone to your system. The posterior pituitary sits in a small cup-like area called the sella tursica in your brain. Only two hormones are secreted by this organ, but they are major. The main aphrodisiac effects comes from a stimulus to the prostate and uterus, thus sex drive. The pineal gland when stimulated will trigger some romantic thinking. It is obvious why a gift of chocolate is a familiar courtship ritual.

The cardiovascular system is affected because one-third of the fat in chocolate comes from the monounsaturated fat oleic acid, another third from saturated fat stearic acid, and steraic does not raise levels of LDL cholesterol in the blood stream which affects the cholesterol. In one study, small but regular amounts of dark chocolate were associated with a lower risk of heart attacks. Unfortunately milk chocolate contains milk and sugar. Milk will enhance the clogging of the arteries and cardiovascular problems. Sugar is nothing more than alcohol which does not help the whole cardiovascular situation.

A major concern that nutritionists have is that excessive consumption of dark chocolate may promote weight gain and obesity, which are risk factors for many diseases including cardiovascular disease.

There is a popular belief that the consumption of chocolate can cause acne. This belief is not supported by scientific studies. However, during my thirty-five years in practice, I have observed both weight gain and acne of people who consume heavy diets of chocolate, mainly because of the sugar and milk in chocolate candy confections

Chocolate contains a variety of substances, some of which may have an affect on body chemistry. One is anandamide and arginine, caffeine, dopamine, methylated xanthenes, monoamineoxidase, oxalic acid, phenethylamine, phytates, serotonin, sugar, tannin, theobromine, theophylline, tryptophan and tyramine.

Caffeine we are all familiar with because of coffee. It is a powerful stimulant because it has a tremendous affect on

the adrenal glands; the “Flight and Fright” glands. From the chin down, the adrenal glands control all organ activity.

Dopamine is what we have to prevent tremors and Parkinson’s disease.

Oxalic acid affects organs such as the gall-bladder and spleen which react to it’s ingestion and causes a displacement of several vertebrae in the upper and lower back. I have observed this many times over the many years I have been in practice.

Theobromine is the primary alkaloid in cacao solids and chocolate, partly responsible for chocolates mood-elevating effect.

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid and precursor to serotonin which is produced by the pineal gland. (Sleep inducer).

Chocolate may be a mild stimulant to humans mainly due to the presence of theobromine. It is much more potent for horses, and its use in horse racing is prohibited.

The vertebrae in the upper back gets displaced when you eat chocolate. This distortion causes headaches at the base of the skull and all over the head. This is due to the skull being contracted downward and the nerves get pinched and a disruption to the nervous system happens causing pain we call a headache. The only real relief comes when the vertebrae in the upper back and neck are adjusted back into their normal position and discontinuance of eating chocolate occurs.

So there are those who proclaim the benefits of chocolate far out way the side effects against eating it. I would have you be the judge of whether it is of value to you or is a natural derived bean that has no value to your body. It is too bad that it tastes so good after it is mixed with other ingredients such as milk, sugar and other chemicals mentioned above. We don’t need all the caffeine that comes with it, that is for sure. Caffeine depletes the adrenal glands.

So you will have to weigh the values of whether chocolate, dark or milk chocolate, is a pro or con for you.

associated with a lower risk of heart disease and stroke. A Harvard University study found that people who ate more than six carrots a week are much less likely to suffer a stroke than those who ate only one carrot a month.

Carrots have been known to nourish the skin, being effective for acne and uneven skin tones because of its strong cleansing properties that detoxify the liver which can give skin a healthy glow. The Vitamin A found in carrots helps prevent dry skin as well.

Eating carrots raw even help with cleaning your teeth, they act as natural abrasives eliminating stains and plague from teeth and gums.

This Spring, grow your own carrot patch! The taste of an organically grown carrot is amazing, it is truly nature’s sweet treat.

There are many that will remember as a child being told to eat your veggies, especially carrots, because they will help improve your eyesight. It appears Mother was right.

The vast benefi ts of carrots are remarkable and not only do they help with your vision, consuming carrots may help lower the risk of breast, lung and colon cancer.

Researchers have found a compound in carrots called falcarinol, this compound was used in a study on mice and it was discovered the mice being fed raw carrots developed a lowered risk of colon cancer than mice that were not fed the carrots.

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, this substance is converted into vitamin A, this protects against macular degeneration of the eyes and development of cataracts.

A diet high in carotenoids also found in carrots, are

Dear Wayne,My wife and I have grown apart. We work all the time and we stopped communicating. It feels like we’re in a bad rut, and she seems like a roommate instead of a spouse, help! - L.C.

Dear L.C.,Sir, are you sure you want to solve this problem? At lot of men would be thrilled to have a wife who doesn’t complain about a lack of communication. Just messing with you. I admire that you are concerned over what sounds like a fading love.

Having a partner who feels like a roommate doesn’t have to be a bad thing. I didn’t get along with my first roommate, but had a great relationship with the last. We developed a camaraderie that didn’t require constant communication. That often happens as a

marriage matures. You learn to communicate in other ways: a look, a smile, a touch.

What are your expectations of a spouse? Are you referring to the image of a newlywed who hangs on your every word, laughs at your jokes, and loves sex? Your expectation of a good relationship probably falls somewhere between twenty-something newlyweds and golden-years marriages. As the love making decreases and the lines of communication fall off, it doesn’t mean the comfort level diminishes. It often increases.

Ruts can be difficult to climb out of because they were built over time. Getting out of them also takes time. It helps if you are both determined to improve your relationship, have more intimacy, and more communication. Check the basics. Do you remember special days: birthdays, anniversaries, holidays? Do you take time to do something special for no reason—stop at the store and pick up flowers or candy? Do you make and serve her breakfast in bed from time to time (male translation: coffee and Egg McMuffin).

Plan an outing away from home. You don’t have to bring up the subject; just do things that will bring you closer together. If you start, she will probably follow your lead. Speak positively to each other, laugh together, and when the night is over, relax in front of a fire. Don’t feel you have to say or do anything. Just enjoy each other’s company.

Until next time,Wayne

We Will Stand Together Always

The collection of messages and teachings dictated from spirit teachers/angels that Wilma Jean Jones has assembled in her book “An Angel Told Me So” began to be received in earnest in August of 1977. With the message received in January of 1978 a new and surprising wrinkle made itself known. On rare occasions the spirit teachers who were presenting this information would offer advice and guidance to Wilma before they actually began the message. This advice and guidance was of a personal and reassuring nature as these spirit teachers were always preparing her for that which was unfolding as she continued in this service that had been so blessed by God.

The personal message for Wilma received on January 27, 1978 was one of those rare occasions. In advance of the personal message presented to Wilma in this session there is given guidance and counsel regarding what she is feeling and an expression of understanding as to that which she is dealing with at the time. These spirit teachers continue to reassure her that they will be by her side and that promises made will be kept. Note the first person nature of this message and the spirit teacher’s repeated references to “we, our, and us.” Note also the name of the spirit teacher who has presented this message.

“Perhaps you realize the difficulty encountered when time elapses and influences tend to restrict your freedom of thought and expression. Teach yourself to acknowledge the fact that you must continue to abide in the presence of God regardless of whether you feel confident to engage yourself in this effort or not. Know that always we stand ready to come to your aid and give you the necessary equipment to allow you to proceed along the path and not waver in your endeavor but we will give to you the strength that is needed and the ability to perceive truths when you are destitute and seemingly down beyond release. Know that we will always deliver to you that

which was promised and always acknowledge your greeting which bids us welcome and draws us to your side.”

Wilma,

“We will stand together always and greet one another affectionately because we are united in a common cause which beckons us to dwell close together for the purpose of furthering communication between us. There lies beyond the realm of civilization many instances where those who lie in close repose one with the spirits who dwell in and among you looking for those who will give freely of themselves so that they might integrate into the being of that spirit to bring together their sole purpose for existing by blending that which is a part of each and that by so doing accomplish a coming together which will further the abilities of that one who has by willingness of thought and desire agreed to accept what is given fully and will begin to realize the results thereof by being close and one in spirit so that as what is given allows itself to come through, that one will benefit from the advice given and the information that is being given will also benefit those toward whom it is directed.”

“Continuation is this type of work will enable you to see further progress in the development of this gift as it will be used in a unique way to allow those who hear these words to witness phenomena in their lives that will show direct results from what they have received. Listen to the voice which guides you in the direction that you should walk and exceed only your ability to comprehend by the action of your works and deeds. You finally will see the dawn of the day that brings you many pleasures and delights for that which you have longed for will be yours. There are many who will say that you are not to be trusted with that which has been given to you

Page 23: Infinity April / May 2013

but do not let hearsay nor complications allow you to deny that which has been given to you nor ever feel that what has been given was ever given but for the sole purpose of enlightening those for whom it was given.”

“Try to be that which the Father has allowed you to be by the mere process of consuming what was allowed you to have and being in the possession of a blessed and precious anointing of the spirit so that you might carry forward the word as it is given to you, spoken to you with authority, and made known to you because you have endured many lifetimes of being in a position to do that which you prefer but instead have acknowledged that presence of spirit which has always been a part of you and when called upon you did indeed answer and therefore proved yourself worthy to obtain this show of appreciation, namely, that of being the giver of spirit word that endures despite all that might be said against it and which will carry you forward always to victory over those who deny our presence and who in ignorance will not listen to your predictions but will continue on to utter destruction.”

“Consider this to be a premonition of sorts, which will bring to you a situation that will/may exist and bring with it the elements to make it happen as you will see it. Teach others to listen to the voice that abides within. This is the true and direct guidance from the Father. Console yourself with this thought: Keep the Father’s work close to your heart and He will see that you receive all that which will allow you to be what you want to be.”

Your Guiding Light

“Listen to the voice which guides you in the direction that you should walk and exceed only your ability to comprehend by the action of your works and deeds.” If there be but one

affirmation that carries you forward in the goals and accomplishments that you see for yourself in this lifetime, let it be this teaching. Your spirit teachers stand with you always.

Refreshing Your Outlook Breathes Life Into Your Plans

by Kathy Vaske

Have you been waiting for spirit to bring you just the right break? Do you feel if you just keep doing things the same way just a little longer that maybe something good will happen, even though you feel like things may never change? Well it’s time to breath new life into your plans by getting busy with the business of living life to the fullest at whatever level you fi nd yourself at. Sometimes we have to fake it until we make it. That is not just an old saying. We have to ignore what our physical circumstances are telling us and keep ourselves focused in on the positive end result we seek to the exclusion of everything else. This sends out a clear message to spirit that we are doing our part to make things happen for ourselves and that we are ready for a change in our lives.

If it is our health that is faltering, we have to take on the responsibility of actually making the changes in our diet and or our lifestyle that we know probably

brought on the health problem/s in the fi rst place. If it is a faltering relationship we fi nd ourselves in, we have to look and see how we are allowing the other person to treat us. If it is a fi nancial issue we are dealing with, we have to decide if we would really make a change in our daily work world if the universe brought us an opportunity to do so. Once we can recognize we need to make a change in ourselves or in our perspective about life and we strive to do just that, it absolutely has an impact on what the universe pulls in for us. If we change what we do or how we react in situations it absolutely demands a different path to open up for us.

Developing some kind of faith concept in something that is larger than ourselves that has our best interest at heart really helps. If we feel that it is just us against the world it makes the struggle to do better that much harder. When things go wrong or outcomes don’t turn

out the way you had thought they would the term “pray without ceasing” is not just a cliche. Sincere prayers or mantras being said by us actually raises the energy and the vibration surrounding the situation, causing a much better outcome for us.

Take health issues for example. The medical fi eld doesn’t really know what causes some illnesses or diseases and often times they don’t know what it will take to turn them around, but we have to remember healing takes place on a communication level where the DNA resides in our bodies. When we start to pray with heartfelt desire and emotion backed with real intention it has an impact on every aspect of our bodies including the DNA communication processing that is going on all the time. This is where the spontaneous remissions that were not expected often times comes from.

The ability to refresh your perspective on life and to breath life back into your plans or to create and carry out new plans is already yours. Always look inward for your answers and to your angels for help. You will not be disappointed.

Springtime: Wood Phase of the 5 Elements

The Spring is starting; we have moved our clocks one hour ahead for daylight savings time, the days are getting longer, earth’s energy is moving up on the scale of hertz frequency. If you have been following my column; we just went through the “water phase” of 5 elements, winter time causes contraction and then regeneration. The water phase represents kidney and bladder energy, bone, hair of the head and the emotion of fear can be diseased in this area. In the West, the disease of hypo-adrenalism means you are tired all the time, with depression, and it is hard to stay asleep. Usually a person will be inclined to drink a lot of coffee and soda to attempt to give them extra energy in the afternoon.

The Wood element is called the expansion phase; it is a proliferation, it may be regarded as a reboot for the 5 element phases. The Wood element represents liver and gallbladder, it

“Aunt Fern”My Great Aunt Fern was sweet and wonderful. Both my grandmothers passed away before I was born and so I considered her my grandmother. My Aunt Fern loved flowers. She had a beautiful yard with many flower beds and was involved in garden clubs. She had a talent for flower arranging. I guess I got my love of gardening from Aunt Fern and my Mom.

I took adult classes in horticulture and flower arranging at our career center. I became certified in both. I was able to get a job at one of garden center/nursery places in town. What a wonderful experience that was! Working with all the plants, learning all the plant names, making up combination pots, meeting wonderful people that had an interest in gardening. I learned so much. I kept saying to myself “I wish Aunt Fern knew I was working with all these plants and I wished she knew how happy I was.” She would have liked this job and she would have been proud of me. I think I repeated this thought daily throughout the summer. Aunt Fern had passed away about 13 years before I started at the garden center/nursery. Towards the end of summer a lady came into the greenhouse/nursery. She looked unbelievable like my Aunt Fern. Her reddish hair, her smile, her glasses,

her posture were remarkably just like Aunt Fern. Aunt Fern did not have any child and this lady came in with her nephew because she had never had children. This lady could not speak easily because she had osteoporosis just like my Aunt Fern. People might say well that is just coincidence. They might say that everyone has a double. You would need more validation than just a look a like. The very next day my husband went to town to get a haircut. He came home and he said “You would not believe it that I saw a lady at the place I get my haircut and she looked just like Aunt Fern. He described her perfectly and said that her nephew was with her. I did not tell my husband about the woman that came into the garden center/nursery where I worked the very day before. That she was there at that time and that salon, when we have so many other salons in our town is validation to me. Some may still say this is a coincidence but to me it was validation that Aunt Fern knew I was working with plants. She knew I was happy and she was proud of me:

governs the eyes, muscle, tendons and ligaments, the emotion of this element is regarded as “anger shouting.” In Chinese medicine, it is referred to as a taste is sour and a smell is rancid.

With Spring arriving, we can already see the earth transforming, already the sprouting of many plants can be seen and before long the bursting forth of all plants. The animals go through the rituals of mating in the northern hemisphere. The Wood element is peaking in the next 8 weeks, if there is a disease in the body, it may rear its head again. You may have creaky and achy joints, liver and gall bladder control issues and tendons, muscles and ligaments could be a nuisance. (Side note- this is why statin drugs chemically hurts the liver and sabotages lipid pathways; the by-product of using statins, is liver damage, muscle and joint injuries can occur while taking statins). When the people who take statins come into my office for Chiropractic, they may heal very slowly and there condition may stay chronic.

The patients with gallbladder problems have increased right upper flank pain, mid back pain, especially at midnight or at lunch. There is an increase in eye disturbances, they may have

itchy burning eyes related to allergies. The liver may be easily congested, as we live in a extremely toxic environment. Food (GMO’s), transfats, medication, bottled water that have many zeno-estrogens from the plastic they are stored in, tap water has chlorine and fluoride which is the by-product of aluminum production. Even the air we breathe is loaded with many toxins.

In my clinic, if patients have problems in the water element (adrenals) they will have issues in the Wood phase, because water promotes wood. A patient with a lot of sensitivities to many things with allergies to just about everything, means they may have poor adrenal function too, from stress and a congested liver. These patients will experience many symptoms of allergies and sensitivities.

On April 16th Thompson Chiropractic & Acupuncture Clinic will be offering a free Detoxification seminar, featuring a 10 day program as well as a 21 day program featuring Standard Process Products. If you are interested please contact Thompson Chiropractic and Acupuncture Clinic 513-874-1222 and reserve your seat today.

Astrology by Mary a change, This is a time when your growth is conditioned by an attitude change, so be aware to see the good that is coming.

a Cancer June 22-July 22

Moon child, this period begins with a fast paced change in the career area, which may cause some alarm in the begin-ning, but will change to positive energy come May. You may have some more socializing now, which helps you to feel at home and comfortable with people of like mind. There could be the return or awareness of a romantic fig-ure from before. Because your solar house of relationships is undergoing a renewal of sorts, you may want to take a second look here. An eclipse in May will register this pos-sibility. Friends and family prove to be very supportive to your plans.

b Leo July 22 – August 22

Your royal highness, much of this period finds you in a tremendous move to learn, grow, advertise, and create new goals. This is supported by friends and people who know you and will spread the news that you are available. At the same time, there is a major effort to insure that home and family are free from want, and just may mean a bit of risk when it comes to monies, but it must be done. Matters having to do with family – either children or parents, etc. are claiming much attention and the eclipse of May 10 will register this effort in the coming year.

c Virgo August 22 – September 22

Your ruling planet, Mercury, is carving out new stages for you to play on, as it goes through 3 sun signs in this period, and all of them relate to career moves, money matters, and more learning or teaching on the horizon. The solar eclipse of May 10 will really highlight the reaching out,

^ Aries March 20 – April 19

The concerns of the past few months seem to be pretty much resolved, and you are ready to hit the ground running! Those born late March and early April are especially ready for change and are declaring their independence. Two eclipses (late April and early May) are registering in your money houses, so the change will likely include income/outgo. A tremendous amount of learning, ideas, travel, information (plus siblings) will be noticed especially in May, and some of you will buy a new car or equipment. Also, the planet of renovation and overhaul is speaking loud to you, so the time has come to “bite the bullet.” Go for it, Aries!

_ Taurus April 19 – May 20

Taurus, you have been prodded from your unconscious mind to take some new steps, and some of this is welcome, but is also disturbing to your sense of balance. A major solar eclipse on May 10 will begin your awareness that you are accepting the changes. Looks as though you are pleasantly surprised by a new attitude in the pocket book! Those of you with significant others will find that a great deal of time will be spent in adjusting the financial picture, and believe it or not, some of your dreams may actually be coming true!

` Gemini May 20 – June 21

Gemini, you especially need to be reminded that there are gifts waiting to be accepted by you, as Jupiter (planet of opportunities) is still in your sign for another few months. You have had some doubts of late, but soon you will step up to claim your prize, and much of it seems to be in making some new goals for yourself. Money concerns have probably been weighing you down a bit, and possibly the changes coming will necessitate a career or relationship move. The two eclipses (late April and early May) will likely force a shift in employment (or health) but will force

teaching, learning area, and is very good for you. This all means that you are seriously hitting the books to do the research necessary, but that is a piece of cake as far as you are concerned. Besides, you are basking in more admiration than you are used to, and doesn’t that feel good for a change!!

d Libra September 22 – October 23

You begin this period with a bit of apprehension about health or work patterns, but then it develops into lots of interaction with marriage partners or best friends, who are suggesting all kinds of new beginnings. In May your solar pocket books are involved in financial obligations or rewards. The solar eclipse on May 10 will register as a grand new beginning when it comes to acquisitions, and also some obligations about pocket expenses. Matters about family and home do require some serious attention, but there is delightful news and activity about expanded learning or trips.

e Scorpio October 23 – November 21

You have a lot on your plate during this period starting with a major thrust in the work area, climaxing in May as highlighted by a major eclipse in the area of partnership! And this in turn will activate a major impetus in the house of shared monies – figuring and also refiguring. No wonder the teacher, Saturn, is showing up in your sign, as it demands that analyzing the financial picture is paramount. But you always know how to find the missing puzzle pieces, and make it all work out so that everyone wins! A great delight is coming to you, either in children, love life, or in self expression!

f Sagittarius November 22–December 21

Happy Sag, it seems that you are having quite a lively time with partners and good friends. Ideas are exploding all around, and there are new and exciting events ahead. The new moon early April will set these off. A major eclipse coming in May will trigger the employment/health area for overhaul in the coming months. You are spending more time refiguring what goes out and what comes in, and any efforts here will benefit you later on in the year. There may be a possible loss or concern over a parent figure, which continues to play in the background.

g Capricorn December 21 – January 19

Capricorn, you continue to rebirth a new you, and this is

good, as you have held up your world so very long with very little help. An eclipse coming early May will signal a period when you just might begin to enjoy yourself. On the home scene there is considerable activity and new energy, which is a bit unnerving, but you could delegate some of the effort here. Early in this period the employment scene (or health area) could seem to be out of control, but only has a temporary effect. There continues to be concern over a sibling. On the plus side, you may learn to think less and dream a bit more, which would help you to relax and enjoy life more!

h Aquarius January 19 – February 18

This period finds you fascinated with some new learning procedures which will be very fulfilling to you. This could include trips or travel. The two eclipses in this period both focus on career, home and family, so you will see where your efforts need to be applied. There definitely seems to be some obligation toward a parent figure or your role as a parent. Also, of great significance, you are appreciating your inner guidance even more, and possibly your dream life is very active, as well as your intuition.

i Pisces February 18 – March 20

Pisces, you are awakening to your own intuitive and dream processes, which could require more private time, but in this period there appears to be much awareness of needs at the home base. Don’t let this frustrate you… just do what you can, and the anxiety will pass. You are being drawn to more effort in spiritual awareness, and the eclipse of April 25 will emphasize this. Another eclipse on May 10 will open doors to new learning, which will be of great benefit to you. Take the new talents which are surfacing seriously, and don’t dismiss them as temporary.
