INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

The Kroeber Anthropological Society Papers publish articlesin the general field of anthropology. In addition to articles of theo-retical interest, the Papers will welcome descriptive studies puttingfactual information on record, as well as bibliographies, linguistictexts, vocabularies, and historical documents of anthropologicalinterest. The Society welcomes student research papers of highquality.

Manuscripts must be typewritten, double-spaced throughout,including bibliography and notes, on 8-1/2 by 11 inch paper, and onone side of the page only. Endnotes (the Papers do not employ foot-notes) and bibliography should be placed on separate sheets. Thestyle to be followed is that used by the American Anthropologist.

Authors will receive without charge twenty reprints of theirarticles. Additional reprints may be ordered at the price of one centper page. A small extra charge willbe made if illustrations mustbereproduced by photolithography. When notified of the acceptance oftheir manuscripts, authors will be asked how many additional reprintsthey desire.
