Sadiq hails from Washington, DC and calls Baltimore home. He is a regular father, husband, and lover of people. Sadiq woke up one day and realized that all the successes he had attained in multiple industries, both as a team member and a team leader, had one common factor: He always treated people well. In observing his business teams and the youth he mentored, he saw a pervasive lack of refinement—an absence of the skills that would help talented people take their abilities to the next level. Sadiq’s entrepreneur father was self-employed for over 30 years. It was in watching his father that the impetus for Millionaire Manners came about. Here was a man who treated people well and was successful not in spite of it, but because of it. From what we know of millionaires, contrary to popular belief, they generally also treat people well.

The other thing Sadiq came to realize is that when you demonstrate value and make people feel good, you can always write your own ticket. 1. What was your inspiration for writing this book?

As I studied the most successful movers, shakers and influencers, I saw one common trait: they all treated people very well, and they were genuine as they did it. The other inspiration came when I realized no one was breaking down these practical techniques in a usable manner, especially for the youth. Millionaire Manners was then born.

2. Who is this book written for?

This book is written for the community leader, father, husband, business professional, entrepreneur, school teacher, principal, cab driver, retail clerk, CEO and every man in between who feels that he is not reaching his full potential because he is unwittingly offending people everywhere he goes. This book is also for the mother, sister, wife or friend who wants to advise the man in their life how to add some sophistication to their repertoire. But most importantly, this book is also for our youth; from high school to recent college graduates. The earlier we can get these lessons in their hands the better.

3. If you could narrow down your book to one takeaway what would it be?

Whew, one is tough! But two of my main messages in Millionaire Manners are to first be mindful of how you feel so you can feel great, because then you will automatically make everyone around feel the same; and second to be genuine in whatever you do. Everyone can spot a phony.

4. How long have you been writing?

I have been writing on and off for over ten years, including blogs, (many of which can be found at www.Millionaire-Manners.com/Blog), articles and a couple different books. I also actively maintain a journal, which is where some of my favorite writing takes place, and I have many ideas manifest themselves.

5. What’s a typical scenario in which your principles can be applied?

Let’s say you’re a small business owner looking for a new partner, so you have to attend a network-ing event: we have specific advice here for you! Let’s say a certain lady has caught your attention, but you have no idea what to say: we cover this at several points! Do you have a job interview com-ing up? Did you just get invited to a dinner party? And so many more practical, everyday solutions to help you not sweat out your suit!

6. How have these principles specifically benefitted you?

During my time in corporate America, I was promoted about 5 times in 8 years. I can point to spe-cific lessons I learned and practiced that helped me, and that I’ve shared here. I have also used the exact same principles in running my businesses as well. They are truly universal, I’ve personally practiced them, and even my own confidence has grown! I try to take my own advice.

7. What is Millionaire Manners Academy about?

The Millionaire Manners Academy is a full service training, mindset and lifestyle organization. We provide training and consulting to a wide range of clients, including schools, business profession-als and their organizations and more. Our offerings are based on our mantra of “Feel like a Million bucks, Look like a Million bucks, Get Million dollar results.” We take the philosophy that manners by themselves or practiced by an unconfident person will not be as effective as a holistic approach to the person and helping the person in becoming their best complete self.

8. What is your A.I.M. Model?

Our A.I.M. Model is what we base our Millionaire Manners Academy trainings largely on. That is the holistic approach I mentioned earlier. It represents attitude, image and manners, or a three pronged approach, not just focusing on one piece.

9. What other projects can we expect from you in the future?

We are working on a ton of exciting things! Expansion of Millionaire Manners Academy into more schools and universities, completion of our afterschool club curriculum, continuing our workshops and finishing classes and even co-sponsoring a Fatherhood/Manhood Day Conference later this year.
