From creating start-ups to igniting revolutions, young people have been toppling the old structures and processes that govern our world. Just imagine what solutions might be found if young people are given the space and encouragement to participate and lead.

THE Y2B FORUM CONCEPT

Youth to Business Forum is a premiere event powered by AIESEC that brings together both young and senior leaders to form a diverse cross-sector and multi-generational space for inspiring conversations around pressing issues. The forum aims to create an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can cross pollinate ideas, share insights and gain new perspectives to create actionable outcomes to push Namibia forward. It’s an environment that helps foster fresh creativity and new perspectives to tackling problems, and by challenging youth and the present status quo, the aim is to help inspire the creation of the next big idea.

We make this happen by taking both the young and senior leaders through a unique and interactive experience, as a delegate or facilitator.

INSPIRE ENGAGE ACT

Short and powerful talks to inspire delegates and help to form their opinions for the day.

Engage through workshops, conversations and idea generation spaces.

Platform for youth to share their opinion on the actions that should be taken onwards.

2015 NAMIBIA Y2B FORUM

The first edition of the Namibia Y2B Forum will address one outstanding challenge that Namibia currently faces: Youth Unemployment. On 11th April 2015, AIESEC Namibia will convene 120+ student leaders to engage in dialogue with senior business representatives to address this question:

Today more than 50% of Namibian population is under 25 years old. In one decade, these people will become the next generation of Namibian leaders and managers. Together, with youth from different higher education institutions, our partners will be exploring avenues for enhancing entrepreneurs’ capacity and enable these young people to come up with outstanding businesses.

Looking at the five pillars of the entrepreneurship ecosystem (access to Funding, coordinated support , education and training, entrepreneurship stimulation and entrepreneurial culture), how can youth entrepreneurs, together with corporations and government, find the common ground required to turn entrepreneurial potential into true economic growth? Together, with youth from different institutions, our partners will be exploring avenues for enhancing entrepreneurs’ capacity and enable these young people to come up with outstanding businesses. Participants will be equipped with the right understanding, knowledge and skills to become better active members in achieving Namibia’s Vision and take ownership of it.
