The Independence Center cares for the needs of individuals and families who have been touched by the abuse of alcohol and other drugs. With separate Youth Treatment and Adult Treatment Programs and a host of services, we provide the most compre hensive substance abuse treatment in southeast Nebraska.

We are experienced. Our program has been working successfully since 1971. We are fully accredited by the State of Nebraska and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. All our work with clients is strictly confidential. This program is oriented to the 12-step approach.

Our staff of licensed counselors is supported by psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health techs, spiritual counselor, medical director and nurses.

Our comprehensive treatment includesInpatient programs:

• Detoxification.• 24-hour nursing care with medical support from medical center.• Short-term residential treatment for adults and youths.• Individualized programming for men, women and adolescents.

Outpatient programs:• Intensive outpatient day and evening programs (3-6 hours per day) for youths and adults.• Outpatient groups and individual sessions.

Intervention and evaluation services:• Evaluations for adults and youths.• Intervention coaching, education and tapes for families.• Assessments for patients hospitalized due to complications of drug or alcohol abuse.
