Center for Literacy Development The Center for Literacy Development was created to support Professional Development initiatives in schools and the community. The main focus is on literacy development from birth through adulthood. However, when requested we provide support for other aspects of the curriculum. For more information about becoming a member and participating in one or many of these opportunities, please contact us Services 4 Network Meetings There are 4 presentations by outstanding leaders in the field of literacy. Speakers from address current issues of theory, research, policy but, above all, emphasize practice. Each full day session (9am-3pm) includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Our website allows members to communicate between sessions.Opportunities are provided to meet with speakers via webinars. Credit Courses Courses can be taken in association with the network that are a hybrid, online or inm person. Members can take courses that count toward a reading specialist certification, a coaching endorsement, and other certifications.
