The etymology of the word "Lambayeque" comes from the Muchik, spoken on the coast of northern Peru, which became extinct during colonization.
Lambayeque or Sican culture reigned in the years 700-1375 AD in the northern part of the northern coast of Peru. The Lambayeque culture was developed largely based on Mochica civilization.
