Hello,
We hope you and your family are all well and safe. We wanted to send you some fun activity suggestions
for over half term. Please feel free to engage in these if you have a spare minute or two… you probably
have lots of ideas yourselves! We would love to see any photos of you enjoying your half term holiday.
Once you’ve made your
cupcakes, can you think of fun
ways to decorate them? Please
don’t forget to send in photos of
your baking creations.
Decorating biscuits is a quick, fun
and yummy activity to do. For this you need some biscuits (Rich Tea biscuits are the best for this) icing sugar,
food colouring to add to the icing sugar, and your favourite decorations or sweets. Any design, or patterns
will do – then enjoy!
Banana bread
Preheat your oven to 180C. Grease your tin with butter (really make sure all
of the tin is completely covered or your cake will stick).
Put the eggs, melted butter, sugar, flour, mashed bananas and chocolate
chips into a bowl and beat until totally combined. Spoon the mixture into
the tin, smoothing the batter out with the back of the spoon.
Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes. Leave to cool completely in the tin
before removing.
Ingredients:
Butter for greasing the tin
75 g Butter melted
100 g caster sugar
2 Medium eggs
225 g Self Raising Flour
3 Large bananas very
ripe, peeled and mashed
100g chocolate chips
75g of melted chocolate
to drizzle over the top
Quick, easy and delicious make your own pizza - all you need
is a baguette, cut to size, some tomato puree, grated cheese
and your favourite topping. Put the pizza on a baking tray and
bake for 6-8 minutes, until the cheese has melted. (you need
an adult to help for this part and don’t forget all cooking times
may vary).
