Hello, We hope you and your family are all well and safe. We wanted to send you some fun activity suggestions for over half term. Please feel free to engage in these if you have a spare minute or two… you probably have lots of ideas yourselves! We would love to see any photos of you enjoying your half term holiday. Once you’ve made your cupcakes, can you think of fun ways to decorate them? Please don’t forget to send in photos of your baking creations. Decorating biscuits is a quick, fun and yummy activity to do. For this you need some biscuits (Rich Tea biscuits are the best for this) icing sugar, food colouring to add to the icing sugar, and your favourite decorations or sweets. Any design, or patterns will do – then enjoy! Banana bread Preheat your oven to 180C. Grease your tin with butter (really make sure all of the tin is completely covered or your cake will stick). Put the eggs, melted butter, sugar, flour, mashed bananas and chocolate chips into a bowl and beat until totally combined. Spoon the mixture into the tin, smoothing the batter out with the back of the spoon. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes. Leave to cool completely in the tin before removing. Make a nature collage, collect items from the garden or even from a walk and get creative—don’t forget

to send in photos of what you have made.

Simple and fun craft ideas…

Challenge 1

How many different toilet roll animals

can you make?

Challenge 2

Make a bug house for some creepy

crawly friends. You will need some

help from an adult to cut a plastic

bottle. Fill with natural materials from

outside.

Create a funky letter for your name.

Cut out your initial from some

cardboard then have fun

decorating. Cover it in wool or scraps

of material. You could even glue

sticks over it and then paint it.

Make a wall hanging from coloured card,

and clear line or cotton. With a parent’s

permission, watch ‘Red Ted Art’ on Youtube,

and learn how to make Pom poms to make a

keyring Emoji.

Challenge 1

Choreograph a dance to ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams.

Challenge 2

Design a quiz. It could be on any topic, football, Disney or general knowledge. Write 20 questions but make

sure you know the answers. Then test your family.

Design an exercise circuit in the

garden for you and your family. Don’t

forget to include burpees, sit-ups and
