Bio Gas to Move - Motivation

From experiences made in many biogas projects, amongst others the Dutch-

German BIORES and the “majeure GreenGas”-project (Interreg IV-A

Germany-Netherlands programme) and during the biogas- conference in April

2012 in Copenhagen, the following aspects were made clear:

The NL, D, DK and SK are all frontrunners in the field of

Biogas especially between DK/SK � other countries, there is little

knowledge concerning each other’s developments. Experience has

shown that the value chain approach gets too little attention. Studies

have shown that the sustainability of mobility needs a lot more attention

in order to meet the \ European and national environmental goals.

Green Gas

Programme: INTERREG IV A „Germany - Netherland“,

Period: 01-2012 – 01-2015

Budget: ca. € 10.000.000

Partners: ca. 60 partners from the governmental,

academical and private sector

Goals: technical innovation and knowledge share

with regards to the whole value chain. Study on potentials of green gas in the border region.

- The increase of biogas usage in the transportation sector, in the right fields and the right applications

- Research on financial incentives for the application of biogas as a transport fuel

and applications (potentially in 4 pilot regions in the 4 countries)

- Network and contacts in the entire biogas value chain

(agriculture – operator – gas upgrade – automobile/truck technology – user) to register the conditions

- Information transfer to the target group as well as politics
