Starting from the Middle Ages, Treviso is defined a delightful city which is still on a human scale, rich in charm and history, where it is pleasant to walk in the streets simply admiring the frescoes on the houses facades, churches and palaces or stop in the famous “osterie” to find the taste of happiness and hospitality.Surrounded by ancient walls belonging to the 12th century, this city attracts people for its cosy atmosphere because of some typical things: quiet, harmony, typical “portico” to enjoy your walk. At the same time, being 1 hour drive from Venice and the seashore, Cortina and Dolomites, Asolo and vineyard hills , it gives the perfect opportunity to the visitors to choose upon their interests.

What does the territory - 30 km north of Treviso - hide?
In the last 20 years this area has started to be known for wine. There are several marvelous manufacturers, belonging to “Strada del Vino Bianco” (“White Wine Route”), which produce the finest Prosecco, sold all over the world. This area also has the distinction of being the point of intersection with “Strada del Vino Rosso” (“Red Wine Route”), whose typical example is Raboso. Few places can boast this combination.In addition, this area is known for one of the oldest and one of the most important enological high school in Europe.

Over the centuries, this area has been distinguished by outstanding craftsmen, which produce a true art form. A persistant pursuit of detail and material has led some artisans of glass and ceramics, for example, to win international awards and to be known all over the world.

What is the inheritage to be discovered in the heart of Veneto?
“Marca Trevigiana”, a land of history and culture, an artistic and cultural heritage of incalculable value that begins with Paleoveneti of prehistoric times and arrives in our times. The historical treasure starts from ancient remains of Roman rule, which are visible in Oderzo area (mosaic roads surface, aqueducts, roads, towers etc). It includes the memory of the great fiefs of medieval fortresses and castles, a period marked by the names of the great families as the Ezzelini, the Da Camino, the Da Carrara , the Brandolini and the Collalto: distant times of bloody duels and spiritual enthusiasm as testified by abbeys and churches. But above all, we have all the beautiful things left by the “Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia” - which are our woods in Cansiglio, an inexhaustible source for its ships that dominated the Mediterranean. With its thousand years of history, of which big part was strictly connected with Venice history, the Marca was enriched by works of art and magnificent villas. Finally this is the place that was the stage of many tragic and heroic events of the First World War. Cima Grappa , Montello and Piave represent significant places for the history of Europe and for generations. Additionally, 2014 will be the year of the commemoration of 100 anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.

OUR GOALS
Yet few people know the characteristics of this territory, between Austria and Venice, the scene of many historical events and where some wine producers among the finest in the world work. But the attraction does not end here. The spirit of the Veneto handcraft is characterized by the pursuit of excellence, by perfect manufacture, elaborated creativity that makes some handmade works extremely valuable and awarded abroad.This is the Marca Trevigiana we want to let you know . A wealthy land where good quality of life makes people joyful and welcoming, where shopping is done without rush, under the “portici” (arcades) of ancient centuries ago, combining the pleasure of the sight to the pleasure of the soul.Treviso also offers to nature lovers an exceptional variety of scenery, from the rolling hills of the North to the expanses of vineyards in the plains, giving the opportunity to experience the nature of rivers that cross this territory.Last but not least, cuisine, both offered by a fine restaurant or a typical agriturism, is available in a very wide choice (Italian chicory, white or green asparagus, Grana Padano or Castel cheeses, any kind of meat and seafood etc).
Our goal is to offer an appendix tour of 3-4 days (for an example see the next slides) to complete the offer of tours to Venice, Garda Lake or Adriatic Sea locations (Jesolo, Eraclea, Caorle, Bibione, Lignano).
Our target is foreign tourists who like Italy and would like to make a cultural and eno-gastronomical experience in addition to their standard holiday in Italy.
EXAMPLE OF TOUR SCHEDULE: 3-4 DAYS
1° day:Afternoon:• Arrival in airport;• Transfer to Treviso;• Lunch in one agriturism in Treviso;• Visit of Treviso, city of art;Evening:• Aperitif with SPRITZ and dinner to conclude;• Transfer to hotel/agriturism/villa.
2° day:Morning:• Visit to Enological High School of Conegliano, with tasting of 3 types of Prosecco to conclude;• Visit to one milk- and cheese factory, with tasting of different typical cheeses; • Lunch;Afternoon:• White wine route and surroundings;• Transfer to hotel/agriturism/villa for a little rest;Evening:• Dinner in one typical restaurant of Conegliano;• Transfer to hotel/agriturism/villa.
3° day:Morning:• Visit to Oderzo, archeological town;• Visit to one winery, with tasting of typical wines, Raboso included; • Lunch;Afternoon:• Space for shopping and free time in Outlet in Noventa di Piave*;Evening:• Transfer to hotel/agriturism/villa.

4° day:Morning:• Transfer to the airport and end of services;
