Initial plans

For my initial plans I am going to produce an Indie magazine. I want to produce this magazine because I think that there are a lot of new interesting bands which I could use to help me produce this. I also enjoy listening to this type of music which I feel will help me to produce this magazine cover contents and double page spread.

I feel the target audience for this will be 15-30+ male and female. I think that is an accurate target audience to aim my magazine at as anyone who likes this type of music could be from up to any age. If you look at say Jake Bugg or the 1975 you can see that they could appeal to male or female, and also I feel Jake Buggs style of music also can be aimed at the older generation as it is a mature type of music style and not what you would link with a younger girly say audience.

My double page spread will be an interview on the artist which I will take a picture of for the cover of my magazine. I will also take different picture of that artist for my contents page pictures. The artist I will make look as ‘indie’ as possible styling them on the band The 1975. I will choose their outfits how they have their hair and also makeup.

The cover of my magazine will be quite simple yet detailed and the colour scheme will be black and white. I want the cover image to be detailed and edgy and unique and id don’t want anything else to overpower that.
