1. TheInitialTeacherCertificationPortfolioisaccessedviaTk20(https://go.uta.edu/tk20).LogintoTk20usingyourUTANetIDandpasswordandthenselectthePortfoliotabontheleft-handmenu.

2. Ifyouhavebeenissuedaportfolio,itshouldappearonthispage.ClickontheNameoftheportfoliotoopenit.

3. TheITCportfolioconsistsofseveraltabsofinformation:• PortfolioName

o Thisisthemainlandingpagefortheportfolio.• UTA/TEARequiredDocuments

o Thistabcontainsfourdocumentsrequiredforcertification.• TEARequiredTrainings

o Documentationthatprovidesevidencethatyouhavecompletedtherequiredtrainingmodules.Therearesixofthesetrainingmodules.

• CooperatingTeacherDocumentso Submissionspaceformostdocumentsrequiringinputorasignaturefromthe

cooperatingteacher.Therearesevenofthesedocuments.• UTASupervisorDocuments

o SubmissionspaceforthethreeTeacherObservationRecordscompletedbyyouruniversityfieldsupervisorduringstudentteaching.

4. Eachtabhasalistofthedocumentsand/orformsthatneedtobecompleted.Youwillaccesseachdocumentand/orformbyclickingthe“Select”buttonnexttothedocumentorformyouwishtoaddtoyourportfolio.The“Submit”buttonwillonlybeusedoncealldocumentsareuploadedtotheentireportfolio.Usethe“Save”buttontosaveprogressuntilyouhaveuploadedallformsand/ordocuments.Onlythenwillyouusethe“Submit”button.

5. Eachdocumentand/orformmayhaveareasforyoutouploadattachments,makeselections,ortypeinshortanswers(i.e.,yourname).Eachdocumentand/orformhasanextraareaatthebottomwhichallowsforadditionaldocumentationtobeaddedtoyourportfolio.Forexample,duringafieldobservationyoumightbegivenacopyofthelessonplan,seatingchart,orhandouts.Theseareappropriateadditionaldocumentsthatcouldbeuploadedalongwiththefieldobservationlog.
