OUR FOUNDATION IS SAFETY

Everyone who works with PARIC is a part of our family. Each day we operate with a strong sense of shared responsibility to protect each

other. Safety will always be our #1 priority, above all else. More than simply an initiative, it’s part of everything we do:

A proactive emphasis on safety training and expectations

A dedicated safety team structured to mandate accountability at every level of the organization

Empowering every employee with the right and authority to stop work when an activity is being performed in an unsafe way

A mandatory Substance Abuse Program which requires drug and alcohol testing of all employees, including pre-employment,

random, reasonable cause and post accident

Daily safety inspections conducted by trained on-site supervisors

Strict adherence to federal, state and local safety policies, and to specific PARIC safety policies

VPP CERTIFIEDPARIC has achieved VPP Mobile Workforce Star status. PARIC is one of only three St. Louis general contractors to obtain this status and

only one of 60 nationwide. This accomplishment required extensive site inspections, as well as allowing OSHA staff to interview employ-

ees about PARIC’s safety culture and practices. We’re proud to hang the VPP flag on our job-sites.

OUR APPROACH TO MEETING YOUR SCHEDULEPARIC is committed to meeting phasing sequences and project deadlines. By working collaboratively with our project team and

subcontractors we will develop a safe realistic and achievable project schedule meeting the project deadlines as it relates to all

phasing and sequence milestones. Obtaining buy-in from all parties from the beginning of the project fosters a sense of teamwork

on the project site so everyone’s interests are aligned in completing the project safely and on time. During our collaborative

workshops PARIC promotes an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is challenged to question the project plan. This process allows

us to develop the most aggressive project schedule while still maintaining the highest level of safety with the entire teams buy-in.

PARIC’s project team, field management and our subcontractors meet on a daily and weekly basis to review the status of the project

and all upcoming work to discuss how the work will continue and maintain the project completion deadline.

SCHEDULE RECOVERY APPROACH

PARIC goes beyond the standard CPM scheduling practices. Working with our subcontractors, we will incorporate planned resources

into our Baseline Schedules. These resources will then be analyzed using Earned Schedule and Measured Mile processes throughout

the project life cycle.

SCHEDULING TECHNIQUES

In addition, PARIC will utilize predictive scheduling techniques to forecast trends which allow us to validate the completion date of the

project. Incorporating past production information into our forecasting analytics provides us the opportunity to uncover potential

issues quicker than the typical CPM analysis. If a situation arises where our advanced matrix predicts an impact to the project

completion date, PARIC will work with our subcontractors to understand the nature of the potential impact and create a safe, holistic

and collaborative recovery plan for the team to work towards.

MANUFACTURING FACILITY

The High Volume Filler Lab 2.0 contains a production facility that houses walk-in coolers/freezer, warehouses, a controlled cage area for storage of prescriptions, and a high volume filler room. The main pharmacy area is filled with a series of conveyor lines which each performing their own task in filling prescriptions. There is a tour path that lines the perimeter of the pharmacy area. The Owner will use this to give tours of the facility to its clients.

The High Volume Filler Lab 3.0 includes the expansion of two stories of office space into the existing warehouse. The additional space includes meeting rooms, offices, open office space, A/V rooms, and collaboration areas. The expansion focuses on the application of mobile technology and LED arrays to provide real-time content access to a wide range of actionable data.

NEW WAREHOUSE FACILITY

New district office facility includes office space, vehicle storage, warehouse space, a vehicle maintenance building, and associated site improvements.

The facilities include features such as Category 4 hurricane resistant design concepts, storm-hardened rooms, and emergency operational spaces to support long-term outages. The property is located in a high-seismic zone along the coast, which required the need for earthquake drains below the buildings to be utilized in order to avoid liquefaction in the soil.

Energy efficient design concepts were utilized to support Berkeley Electric’s new facilities including LED lighting, Variable Refrigerant HVAC, and insulated tilt-up concrete wall panels.

NEW WAREHOUSE FACILITY

New headquarters facility includes an office space built with structural steel and a brick façade that houses hardened areas for their dispatch department, war room, and server rooms. The remainder of the facility (Warehouse, Vehicle Storage, and Maintenance Building) was all constructed utilizing insulated tilt-up concrete sandwich panels. The facility boasts state-of-the-art energy efficient technology that includes fully integrated lighting controls, geothermal heating & cooling, and two (2) on-site water wells with high-efficiency plumbing fixtures. The Maintenance Building utilizes top-of-the line vehicle lifts, car wash equipment, and a lube/oil/fluid distribution system. A fuel island sits just beyond the Maintenance Building and a large gravel yard houses concrete pole bunks and storage pads for operational convenience.

NEW WAREHOUSE FACILITY

This project consisted of a new headquarters facility. Each facility includes office, warehouse, vehicle storage, separate maintenance buildings, and a pole yard component. This facility has been designed to improve functionality of the operations, incorporate low maintenance building materials and utilize energy efficient building systems. Examples of these improvements include: installation of a ground source heat pump system to heat and cool the facilities, spray foam insulation at all exterior walls, motion sensors in rooms to control lighting, brick facades at office buildings, standing seam metal roofs, and 100% generator back up capability.

NEW WAREHOUSE FACILITY

This project includes an office building, a concrete panel warehouse, and a maintenance building all on a 120-acre site. The project was designed and built to meet LEED certification, which made it one of the first green projects to be built in Callaway County.

The facility has many innovations designed especially to meet the needs of the cooperative, including a ground source heat pump that is used to heat and cool the entire building complex, electronic locks are placed on doors and lights come on automatically when people enter a room. The new building is designed with an enclosed storage facility that has in-floor radiant heating and 14 bays allowing big trucks, even with trailers, to enter through bay doors on one side and to exit through the same size large doors on the other side of the building.

The building has numerous meeting rooms to handle the needs of various departments. One meeting room can be divided into two rooms. A conference room has been added with overhead projectors and drop-down screens for presentations.
