Objectives1. To combine multiple open data streams to develop innovative

environmental services;

2. To apply Linked Data and Semantic Web approaches to enhance the services and generate new knowledge;

3. To deliver reusable technology that facilitates the exploitation of open data;

4. To ensure that the services are sustainable beyond the lifetime of the project;

5. To demonstrate the value of open data and stimulate the release of more open data by data providers.

How it all fits together

Conclusions• Project aims to demonstrate that releasing data openly

leads to strong commercial and scientific exploitation

• A key challenge is to combine diverse sources of Open Data– Earth Observation– Modelling and forecasting– Socioeconomic/government data
