Christos PassasAssociate Director

Associate Director at Zaha Hadid Architects. Passas gained his B.Arch (Hons) at the School of Architecture of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY as a Fulbright Scholar and continued with his postgraduate studies in the field of Advanced Architectural Design at the Architectural Association, London, where he received his Graduate Design Diploma in 1998. He has worked with Zaha Hadid as a Design Leader since February 1998 where he was Project Architect for numerous projects and winning competitions, including most notably the Stirling Prize nominee, the Phaeno Science Center Wolfsburg, completed in November 2005. Since 2007, he has returned to academia and is now involved in teaching Parametric Design and Urbanism at the Architectural Association in London with Patrik Schumacher and served as Guest DAAD Professor in the Dessau Institute of Architecture at Bauhaus (Dessau) were he held his own Master Design Studio X from 2008 to 2012. He is currently directing the designs for the OPUS office and hotel in Dubai, an office building in Moscow, a large scale mixed use development in Belgrade, Serbia and Elestheria Square in Cyprus.
