PROJECT SELECTION
EDUCATION —SLOVAK UNIVERSITYOF TECHNOLOGY IN BRATISLAVACLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE
We have delivered cloud infrastructure and built top data centers for edu-cation, science, and research. The latest cloud infrastructure contains 736 computational cores, providing a cloud space of more than 10TB of RAM and storage systems with more than 100TB of gross capacity. It combines Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service cloud services, offers quick services, scalability, and advanced management of virtual and cloud environment. The system’s main feature is that it allows for a single management of the cloud environment simultane-ously on the RISC and CISC platform. Desktop cloud solution is part of the package that allows up to 2,208 desktops to be simultaneously con-figured, while integrated at the management level with a private cloud letting you to manage the entire system from a single location. Resear-ch Facility Data Center also allows you to allocate hardware resources dynamically and optimally based on the needs of individual projects.
LOCAL GOVERNMENTS —DEUS ASSOCIATION CITIES AND VILLAGES DATA CENTER
DCOM is a national project aimed at digitizing public administration and developing electronic services for cities and villages, which facilitates access to eServices of local governments and general public. It expands the number and improves the quality of services provided by local go-vernments. Thanks to this, villages and cities can introduce electronic services free of charge without the need to build information systems and connect them to central components. More than 1,500 Slovak ci-ties and villages signed up for the first phase of the project, and access to 138 electronic services was provided. Due to the intense interest, a second phase of the project is being implemented, which will offer new opportunities to other local governments. They get space for the operation of applications; DCOM allows you to work and store data more securely, provide for a high availability of operating systems and the required level of information security, and render safe interconnec-tion and compatibility with other public administration systems. Systems are cloud-based and stored in the data center, allowing local govern-ments access to technically-demanding applications that would not be used on a local computer. The DCOM information system is fully integra-ted with other modules and centrally-provided services of the Central Public Administration Portal (CPAP) and Public Administration Informa-tion Systems and Registers (PAISR). Document security and delivery with a secure electronic signature for electronic ID cards is part of the solution.
HEALTH —FALCKCLOUD SOLUTION IN THE NEW-GENERATION AMBULANCES
We continue to innovate in the healthcare sector. Digitization of res-cue health service is interesting with the use of cloud and mobile tech-nologies, resulting in a modern system of electronic records of rescue
health services. The new system will become the basis of a comprehen-sive information system integrating isolated information systems and data sources. Pilot deployment of the application into the production environ-ment was part of the project along with the acquisition of the hardware equipment required. The new patient e-records (health assessment) is used in the 20 new-generation ambulances and provides for a full ac-cess to patient history, helping physicians and rescuers to make the cor-rect diagnosis and improving health care delivery. More than 3000 elec-tronic records were implemented so far. Another benefit of the solution is to facilitate consulting over phone internally and externally with con-sultants and specialists, which eliminates formal errors and improves the accessibility of records for the preparation of health care facilities in case of acute and emergency situations.
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION —CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE SR SERVICE COMPUTERIZATIONAND OBJECT DIGITIZATION
The latest IT technologies streamline the activities of the Constitutional Court of the SR (“SRCC”) and make electronic services for the public and parties easily accessible. It is an important benefit not only for the digitizing of the public administration but also for the expansion of de-mocracy control mechanisms and constitutionality of the Slovak Repub-lic. We have developed and delivered systems for the SRCC to create electronic files and integrate them with the registry. The infrastructu-re also includes a solution for the use of the qualified electronic signa-ture to facilitate digitization of all paper documents kept by the SRCC. At the same time, we have built integration interfaces for information systems of other Slovak state agencies allowing for an efficient machi-ne-to-machine electronic communication. Thanks to the integration of eGov services and development of tools for full electronic communica-tion with the public, entrepreneurs, institutions, parties, as well as em-ployees of the SRCC, it is possible to file actions to the SRCC, provide information on matters within the scope of the SRCC, or to publish in-formation and decisions related thereto. Natural and legal persons, as well as plaintiffs and claimants applying before the Constitutional Court, will be able to monitor the progress and status of all activities and serve legal documents electronically related thereto. Relevant specialists will also be able to benefit from this solution. Part of the object digitization of the SRCC Office is aimed at improving the quality of systems, obtai-ning, processing, protection, and use of knowledge and digital content and at creating a knowledge base from the decision-making process sin-ce 1992, along with its accessibility and preservation for the next gene-ration. All the decisions, including 12,983 actions + 298 audio records from hearings, were digitized as part of the project.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS—ORANGE SLOVENSKOREGISTRY UPGRADE AND E-MAIL CONNECTION
We have developed a product for registry mail-rooms and offices that eli-minates paper work. The new upgraded BRISK system was deployed in Orange Slovakia last year, along with an automated connection to CPAP E-Mail via BRISK. This solution provides the customer with a higher level

Network infrastructure upgrade has led to an increase in the capaci-ty and throughput, taking into account the current and projected futu-re requirements of the NBS. The comprehensive project included a to-tal analysis and review of the situation and subsequent delivers of HW and SW network equipment, along with its installation, configuration, and migration to new devices. The replacement of the LAN and WiFi network components itself was done step by step to minimize disrup-tions of production information systems and adverse impacts thereof on the NBS core activities. The implementation and optimization phase followed after the deployment, and technical and operational documen-tation of the network infrastructure was produced as part of the project implementation. DATALAN will provide service support for a period of eight years as part of the project. Cancellation of blocked lines and in-crease in the overall network throughput are the biggest advantages of this solution. The overall accessibility of the solution has been increa-sed, the number of managed nodes has been reduced, and the mana-gement of the infrastructure was streamlined for the customer by using a single network management tool.

Orange Slovakia also plans to use the solution for digital dis-tribution and processing of documents with a high security of electronic records and the ability to search quickly and easily. Allocation, recording, and storing of electronic messages delivered to the mailbox is user-frien-dly, which is another benefit of this solution.

UTILITIES SECTOR—THE MIDDLE SLOVAKIA WATEROPERATING COMPANY BANSKÁ BYTRICA PRODUCTION IMPROVEMENT APPLICATIONS
The intend of the customer was to adjust and extend the performan-ce of the applications required, such as the internal communication and cooperation infrastructure, information system for sharing and ad-ministration of documents, and in-house support applications for the internal processes required, and to increase personal productivity of users through the use of innovative applications from mobile devices. We have implemented the Document Management System - Mobile Web solution with the new XPages technology, which streamlined and unified the user interface (UI) of various applications into a single One-UI concept. On one hand it streamlined the deployment of applications into operation in terms of training and adaptation of users and, on the other hand, it streamlined operation support for users, technical support, and troubleshooting of problems that users may encounter. Another advantage is the support of mobile devices, resulting from the optimization of UI components for user-friendly experience on mo-bile devices, as well as optimization of application controls for mobile devices. The solution also includes a common “My Activity” tab, which lists and unifies all user’s activities and serves as the main input to all processes the user is part of.
TRADE AND SERVICES—X-BIONIC® SPHERE SPORTS COMPLEX COMPLETE INFRASTRUCTUREDESIGN AND DELIVERY
We have provided a complete infrastructure for the largest sports complex in Central Europe. Thousands of spectators, athletes, and visitors can also make use of our network and enjoy services and fa-cilities that has no competition in the region. We have covered the pro-ject from the very beginning and have been involved in the creation of the complex itself, when only visions and ideas were the only informa-tion we had in many cases and when individual parts of the complex were only drafted. Designing a sufficient and efficient infrastructure able to meet expected future demands was an opportunity for DALA-RAN to prepare a unique technologically cutting-edge solution in Slo-
INDUSTRY—SLOVALCOPRODUCTION MANAGEMENTMOBILE TECHNOLOGIES
Innovative solutions bring insight and control into production processes as well. We regularly implement innovative technologies at customers, an example being the ELEX application, which allows for a processing of data with a volume of up to 40 million production data real-time. It works based on the Complex Event Processing platform, whose use in the production process is unique in Central Europe. The greatest be-nefit of the solution is undoubtedly the predictive models that warn of imminent threats proactively - e.g. the anode effect - but additionally, they can also warn of instability in advance allowing the employees to mitigate efficiency declines of individual furnaces. The implemen-tation of new technologies allowed Slovalco to become not only a lea-der in mobile management of aluminium production within the Alumi-nium Hydro Group but also to optimize and increase the efficiency of aluminium production. Production improvement by half percent means an increase in production of 120 tons per year. Electrolytic aluminium production method is known for more than a century, we are still able to upgrade the processes using state-of-the-art technologies. In addi-tion to regular upgrades of systems and applications used therein, we also add new features aimed at implementing smart data principles in practice. This should improve the speed of data processing in lar-ger volumes and ultimately help Slovalco to use all the data for more efficient and accurate decision making.

The total value of the solution included more than 100 active CISCO 2 960 switches in a variety of configurations, nearly 200 inter-nal and external Wi-Fi access points of the CORE infrastructure based on the CISCO platform, CISCO Prime Infrastructure 3.0 Management, and kilometres of optical and metallic cables. Users, server node, ac-cess and camera systems, IP TV and IP Phone, and miscellaneous site operation technological facilities (incl. water, veterinary hospital, hotels, and restaurants) are all connected to the network. The enti-re complex consists of nearly 50 objects, all of which are connected to the infrastructure by 2x 1GB or 2x 10GB optical redundancy con-nection system. All connected devices and comprehensive connectivity have undergone stress tests that have confirmed 100% performance.
