BALTEC RIVETING MACHINES

The BalTec radial riveting technique deforms material over a hypocycloid (rose petal) path in a predominantly radial manner over the centre outwards. With the radial riveting process, the tool itself does not rotate. The friction between tool and work piece is therefore at a minimum. The result is an excellent surface structure.

PROCESS CONTROL HPP-25

The HPP-25 Process Controller will control the riveting process. The sensors on the riveting machine will feedback data to the controller which will then take actions to ensure a good joint is formed. The touch screen display allows easy to program functionality. There are 6 possible controlling factors and 39 different riveting modes to choose from. The PC software will ensure that the data is recorded onto a PC and stored.

BALTEC PRESSES with Force and Distance Monitoring

Presses with Force Monitoring

To complement the standard range of BalTec presses, we offer a press range which include force and distance monitoring. The MS00 force monitoring system can be used to control and monitor the performance of the pressing application. If the force or distance being applied is outside the allowable tolerance the operator will be notified and a reset will need to be performed to allow the next pressing stroke. This force and distance monitoring system is available on most of the BalTec press range, from the 5kN toggle press through to the 56kN straight acting pneumatic press.

Reporting of data can be achieved by connecting the MS00 force monitoring system to a PC. A graph can be displayed and tolerance windows can be placed around the force curve to ensure the correct monitoring. Please contact us for further details and demonstrations

ELECTRO PRESSES

Janome

BalTec offers the Janome electro servo power presses for high precision assembly of components. They can be operated as a single workstation or integrated into complex production cells or systems. The electro press has a touch key pad and monitor which provides various control and monitoring functions to achieve highly effective production systems. The force range is 1kN to 80kN. The electro press is ideal for high accuracy and for pressing a variety of products.

Janome JP-S Series

The new Janome Electro-press is a completely new press. It is slim and compact which will fit into most spaces. Programming is via a PC and the reporting can be via a bus system. The slimline controller will fit easily inside a control panel.

Air and electric powered tools produce a torque; this reaction can be transmitted to the operator’s hand. Over a period of time this reaction can cause injuries to the hand, wrist and shoulder. This can be prevented by installing a torque reaction arm which is designed to absorb the torque.

CONTROL SYSTEMS

We have a dedicated team of control engineers who can design and build a control system to suit your application. We are familiar with all the PLC brands - Allen Bradley, Siemens and Omron to name but a few. We will be happy to come and talk to you about your requirements.

We can also offer a range of standard controls for pneumatic and hydro-pneumatic presses. ES Control

This is a simple two-hand control with two-hand start buttons, safety valve and air service unit.

ZS06 Control

This control system uses a safety PLC. Therefore there are two-starting methods: - two-hand start or foot pedal. Each has two modes of operation: - setup and holding time. A force monitoring system can be added to the ZS06 Control. The safety valve and air service unit are included.

SEM Control The SEM control has two further modes of operation - single stroke and auto mode. With the SEM control there is additional I/O which can be programmed to suit the application you have. A rotary table can be added to this controller to give a fully operational machine.

All these control systems are approved to the latest level of the Machinery Directive

FLEXIBLE PROFILE SYSTEMS & TRANSFER SYSTEMS

Flexible Profile Systems

BalTec offers a wide range of flexible profile systems (FPS). Our FPS system is designed as a modular concept. This assures a maximum degree of flexibility. We can design, assemble and supply frames, benches, guards or structures to suit the projects you have.

The profile is made from anodised aluminium and therefore will not rust.

Excellent for workbenches, guarding, trolleys and racking. There are no limits to the uses for this profile.

TOOL BALANCERS

BalTec also offer a range of tool balancers designed to improve productivity, and improve the operator’s fatigue. The tool balancers avoid the accidental dropping of tools, therefore avoiding damage.

The C Bridge spring untanglers are light weight, labour saving tools which automatically separate conical and hooked springs in seconds. The adjustable door at the front will regulate the output of the springs. The untangler is suitable for assembly lines and repair shops, and can be easily moved between locations

AUTOMATIC SCREW PRESENTERS

The Quicher screw presenter will separate and feed screws automatically allowing for ease of pick up and insertion. By replacing the rail the screw presenter can be easily changed to feed a new size of screw. The Quicher unit is a cost effective way to feed screws.
