Since building the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Singapore in 2014,
Bouygues Construction has acquired considerable expertise in modular
construction. This innovative construction method, based on assembling
prefabricated blocks, reduces the building time and the noise impact
of construction sites. Our expertise has hit a new height: the two residential
towers of Clement Canopy in Singapore stand 140 metres tall.

In partnership with the University of Nantes, which
has developed the Batiprint3D™ process, Bouygues
Construction has built the first home using a 3D
printing application. The walls of the house were
constructed by an articulated robotic arm: two layers
of polyurethane between which concrete was poured.
Benefits of the process include freedom of architectural
forms, a shorter construction time and thermal
insulation in place at the end of the construction phase.

The construction contract for the Nord
Deux-Sèvres hospital in western France
included a requirement to take on socially
deprived trainees. Bouygues Construction
set up a site school for twelve people, each
of whom is supervised by an experienced site
worker. For six months, they alternate practical
work and theoretical courses. At the end of
this period, they are awarded professional
competence certificates as formworkers.

Dijon Métropole has awarded a contract
for the design, building, operation
and maintenance of a connected control
centre to a consortium consisting
of Bouygues Energies & Services
and Citelum (EDF group), with SUEZ and
Capgemini. The aim is to provide remote
management of all urban infrastructure
in the 24 towns forming the metropolitan
area (e.g. street lighting, public transport
and traffic lights).

Launched in September 2017, Wizom Connected
is based on the latest technologies in IoT (Internet
of Things) and predictive equipment management.
Intended for property developers and social
housing landlords for use on both new-build
and refurbishment projects, this remote platform
simplifies management and maintenance,
generates energy savings, and offers residents
greater comfort and safety. It brings the block
management and occupants closer thanks to
a dedicated social network for the apartment block.

Health and Safety are
the Group’s very highest
priority, and this is made
clear by the 12 “basic rules”
introduced in 80 countries.
There is a single target: zero
accidents. To mark its strong
commitment, Bouygues
Construction halted work on
virtually all of its construction
sites for half a day on June
13, 2017, so that employees
and the personnel of partner
companies could benefit from
presentations of information,
demonstrations of good
practice and dedicated
workshops.

Already fully committed to developing the use of BIM (Building
Information Modelling), Bouygues Construction is now going further
in the digital transformation of its project activities. A solution based
on the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform gives employees
and the complete supply chain a collaborative management tool
that uses project data simultaneously for all players.

To improve the training of Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) pilots, fifteen risk
scenarios have been modelled for Thalia, a simulator specifically developed
for TBM pilots. In use at all our tunnelling sites, it recreates real geologies
and operating conditions to prepare the drivers for handling dysfunctional
situations that may occur.

B E I N N O V A T I V E We carry out our projects with the clear determination of sharing innovation. With our employees and with our partners. For our customers, for communities and for the environment. Innovating means opening new horizons and helping imagine our world tomorrow.
B E R E S P O N S I B L E This means working with respect for our customers, our employees, the environment and all our stakeholders. We exercise this responsibility every day through individual and collective initiatives that guarantee the health and safety of everyone on all our sites, irreproachable ethical behaviour and protection of the environment, in France and in all the countries where we operate. These are all opportunities for us to show ourselves as being exemplary.
B E C O M M I T T E D Through concrete actions on the ground, we make a contribution to meeting some of the major challenges of society, giving priority to local employment, social integration and the local added value of our projects, encouraging openness and partnership, and focusing on solidarity. There are many accounts of actions we have taken in support of territories where we operate.
