1. JOB PURPOSE AND MAIN AIMS a) To assist the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager with the day to day supervision of the on site café, and bar and to assist in the provision of a quality service to the customer as well as to ensure that brand guidelines are met throughout the site. 2. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 3. To deputise in the absence of the F&B Manager. 4. To supervise the on site café/bar and staff while on shift. 5. To undertake general F&B duties, ensuring that all legislation and procedures are followed by all F&B staff while on shift. 6. To place orders and accept deliveries as required from nominated suppliers as requested by the F&B Manager. 7. To follow the Normal Operating Procedures and the Food Safety procedures as instructed. 8. To undertake cleaning duties and to set up and dismantle equipment as required. 9. To adhere to all checklists and cleaning schedules as laid down by management and ensure that they are completed. 10. To observe and adhere to all COSHH, HACCP, Food Safety and Health & Safety Legislation. And any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post, as requested by Management. Duties may change over time and you will be expected to co-operate where such changes are reasonable.

3. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (SELECTION CRITERIA)

Essential Criteria

a) Qualified with a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or have an equivalent level of relevant experience.b) Awareness of current Health and Safety legislation.c) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. d) Experience of working in a customer focused environment.e) Knowledge of business IT applications (e.g. Word/Excel).

Desirable Criteria

a) Good written communication skills.b) Knowledge of current law appertaining to the sale of alcohol.c) Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

4. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND/OR STRAIN

a) Will be required to aid with the setting up of catering equipment which may involve some manual handling. b) May be required to take deliveries, which may involve some manual handling.

5. SPECIAL NOTES OR CONDITIONS

a) The post holder will be required to work on a shift basis, working week days, evenings and weekends.b) The post holder will be required to wear a uniform at all times whilst on duty.c) The post holder may be required to provide cover for colleagues from time to time.d) The post holder will be required to undergo regular training.e) The post holder may be required to work at any of the sites and travel between them as necessary.
