Growth of a modern CFO in the digitaleconomy

Todd McElhatton

Finance leaders have traditionally been the trustedadvisors that the board has turned to in times of tur-bulence. The digital economy is certainly causing alot of turbulence, so once again, finance is beingcalled upon to find a solution. Three forces arecausing a massive wave of transformation acrossmany companies for finance - volatility is the newnorm, pressures of an evolving business model, andcontact disruption.

SAP Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for North Amer-ica, Todd McElhatton, will discuss how he ap-proaches these topics and more in his current role,in addition to how he and his team leverage SAPsolutions. Todd will explore how finance's board-room influence is increasing and leading to an ex-pansion in job scope. He will discuss how CFO'sare changing the formula to undergo its most funda-mental transformation since ERP was invented tostay relevant to boardrooms and business leaders.
