A Guest Lecture program was organized on the topic “LIFE AFTER GRADUATION ” for the students on 19th December 2019 at 3.30pm in Al Manhal Hall A/C. Ms. J. JESEEMA AFRIN of II BBA ‘E’, Joint Secretary, Department of Business Administration Association, welcomed the gathering.Ms. PAVITHRA HARIDAS, of III BBA ‘E’, Secretary, Department of Business Administration Association introduced the resource persons.Ms. M. PRESCILLA, Programme Executive, FM Rainbow 102.1, All India Radio, Tiruchirapalli 620 001, delivered a Special Lecture on “LIFE AFTER

GRADUATION”. She gave information on various central government and state government examinations also about the women achievers and entrepreneurs.She conducted a 10min debate on the topic “Does Planning help to achieve what we desire in life or not”. Total of 10 students participated, 5 students on the positive aspects and 5 students on the negative aspects debated on the topic. The students enjoyed the debate session, in the end it was concluded that Planning helped to achieve what we desired in life. Ms. K. PG and Research Department of Chemistry, Jamal Mohamed College has organized 5th International Conference on Chemical and Environmental

Research (ICCER-2020) on 08th January 2020. Around 290 research articles from various Frontier areas of Chemistry have been presented by the delegates who came from various parts of our nation. Dr. Vijay Kotra, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Quest International University Perak Ipoh – 30250, Malaysia was the Chief Guest for the inauguration of the conference. He emphasized that the all of the research going on is for the human welfare and also he asked the younger generation to follow Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India. He delivered a special lecture on “Flavonoids as Potential Multi Target Agents in Drug Discovery”. A total number of 490 delegates participated in this event and shared their ideas, findings and made interaction with resource persons. Dr. M. Mohamed Sihabudeen, Additional Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering. Dr. A.K. Khaja Nazeemudeen, Secretary and Correspondent, Hajee M.J. Jamal Mohamed, Treasurer and Dr. K. Abdus Samad, Assistant Secretary felicitated the function. Dr. S. Ismail Mohideen, Principal, presided over the function, Dr. K.N. Abdul Kader Nihal, Director (SF) and Bursar, Dr. K.N. Mohamed Fazil, Director of Hostel Administration and Ms. M. Hajira Fathima, Director, Women Hostel graced the occasion. Dr. M. Anwar Sathiq, Convener (ICCER-2020), presented the theme of the conference and Dr. A. Zahir Hussain, Assistant Professor of Chemistry proposed the vote of thanks.In technical session-II, Dr. S. Balaji, Associate Professor (Sr.), Department of Biotechnology, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University, Manipal – 576104, Udupi (DT), Karnataka, delivered a lecture on “Role of Cheminformatics in Drug Design”. Participants from all over country (Karnataka, Kerala, Nagaland, Pondicherry and Tamilnadu) were present for the ICCER-2020. In technical session-III, out of 290 abstracts received, 142 abstracts were presented for oral presentation and the remaining papers were admitted for poster presentation and conducted in five venues.In technical session-IV, Dr. S. Venkatesan Jayakumar, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, SVIS, SVVV University, Indore-453111, Madhya Pradesh, India, delivered keynote address on “Utility of Microwave and Ultrasound in Organic Synthesis” and delivered valedictory address. Certificate of Participation / Presentation / Best presentation were issued by Dr. A. Mohamed Ibraheem, Vice-Principal, Dr. M. Mohamed Sihabudeen, Additional Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chief Guests. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. A. Asrar Ahamed, Co-convener, ICCER-2020. The success of the conference was revealed by delegates feedback. The conference was concluded by the National Anthem.

PG Department of Information Technology organized an exciting Inter-Collegiate Technical Symposium VARIT-2k20 on Thursday January 30th 2020. The Inaugural function started at 9.30 a.m. in the N.B. Abdul Gafoor Alc Auditorium. Dr. S. Ismail Mohideen, Principal, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Presided over the function. The Chief Guest Mr. Srinivasan Thanukrishnan, Founder & CEO, Glosys Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, who is an illustrious alumnus, inaugurated the function. Dr. T. Abdul Razak, Co-ordinator, Department of Information Techonology, introduced the chief guest and also welcomed the gathering. Mr. K. Ishaq Ahamed (III B.C.A), Secretary, VarIT-2k20 proposed a vote of thanks. Mr. Srinivasan Thanukrishnan, in his inaugural address, mentioned that the students should be able to convert the learned knowledge into practical skills. This function includes eight events such as DEBUGGING, CODE SUFFLING, WEB DESIGN, WORD HUNT, PAPER PRESENTATION, DUMB CHARADES, STRESS and ADZAP. The valedictory function was held at 5.30 p.m. in the N.B. Abdul Gafoor Alc Auditorium. Prof. K. Syed Kousar Niasi, Vice-President (CS & IT Association) welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Ismail Mohideen, Principal, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous) presided over the function and the Presidential address was delivered by Hajee M.J. Jamal Mohamed Sahib, Treasurer, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous). Dr A. Mohamed Ibraheem Vice-principal and Additional Vice-Principal Dr. M. Mohamed Sihabudeen graced the occasion. Dr. A. K. Khaja Nazeemudeen D.Litt.(USA), Secretary and Correspondent, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli was the chief guest and delivered the valedictory address. Mr. M. Abdul Rahaman (III B.Sc IT), Vice-Chairman, VarIT-2k20 proposed a vote of thanks. As many as 266 students from 25 various Arts, Science and Engineering colleges registered and actively participated in this mega event. The prizes and merit certificates were distributed to the first and second place winners. The overall championship award was bagged by students of Holy Cross College, Trichy.Management Committee Members, Vice-Principal, Additional Vice-Principal, Directors-Hostel Administration, Director – Women Hostel and Faculty Members of Jamal Mohamed College graced the occasion.
