THE PROJECT:

The primary aim of the project was to create flexible seating and study areas in which students could co-exist and thrive in. By pairing colourful soft seating solutions like bean bags and pod chairs with agile curved ottomans, the library space was transformed into a cosy retreat for students.

The Spaces

SPACE 1 - Communicate Zone

Effective communication thrives in intimate spaces where students can interact in small groups or one on one with a teacher.

Mobile student tables promote active discussion and allow students to move wherever suits them around the space.

SPACE 2 - Culture Zone

Flexible and fluid modular seating such as this gives students a choice in where they work and places resources close at hand.

This space provides unique angular seating with smart storage solutions that students can shape and re-arrange themselves into small or large learning communities.

SPACE 3 - Critical Zone

Soft seating such as this provides comfortable and cosy reflective pods for students to retreat to and engage in critical thinking, reading or individual study.

Teaming together vibrant colours and textures creates a sensory experience to stimulate the mind.

The furniture chosen for the project had to support a multitude of uses and be able to with-stand high traffic areas. Featuring high quality furniture made from durable and lightweight materials for easy transport around the space. Unique seating configurations combined with vibrant pops of colour transforms any space into a bright, inviting and lively one. This Resource Centre has plenty of areas for students to study, spread out their supplies. They also have quiet spaces for them to retreat to, coupled with storage for books and student’s belongings.

THE PROJECT:

The Information Services Centre gives students access to state-of-the-art resources to develop their literacy knowledge and encourage them become independent life-long learners. It is an innovative flexible learning space designed to support curricular and co-curricular activities. Fitted out with dynamic meeting spaces, independent study spaces, booth seating and large scale modular settings.

The Spaces

SPACE 1 - Collaborate Zone

Booth seating creates an intimate group meeting space or inviting individual study space for students to occupy and feel encompassed in the learning environment.

Informal settings such as this promote the casual exchange of ideas between students and provides a productive zone for group work.

SPACE 2 - Communicate Zone

Circular meeting spaces allow inclusive discussion to take place around a table that ensures each student can be seen and heard.

Flexible and supportive student chairs ensure students receive the proper ergonomic benefits they need to be comfortable in the learning environment.

SPACE 3 - Culture Zone

This zone combines diverse modular ottomans with backrests to create encompassing learning hubs that double as soft seating lounge areas.

Essentially, the space becomes a common area. One where students can come together to create a culture of shared learning.

This perfectly colour coordinated space of vibrant yellows, greens and refreshing blues come alive with cosy booth seating and height adjustable tables of varying shapes and sizes. There is no shortage of spaces for students to transition to. With modular soft seating ottomans create agile learning hubs can be rearranged and adapted to suit the needs of the learning community. This Information Service Centre is completed with mobile library shelving to house fiction and non-fiction books.

THE PROJECT:

The Noelene Munns Learning Centre is the high-tech central learning hub students congregate to everyday to access learning resources and E-technology. Full of lounge areas, booth seating, bean bags and ottomans to create inviting independent study areas. Completed with a unique tiered seating structure for story time. The project featured a number of custom-made pieces to suit the client’s requirements.

The Spaces

SPACE 1 - Collaborate Zone

Intimate meeting spaces are ideal group work environments and allow for plenty of bench space to spread out resources.

Booth seating creates an inviting individual study space for students to come and go as they please.

SPACE 2 - Critical Zone

A focused space with agile furniture such as this allows students to choose when and how they study.

It’s important that settings be easily adaptable into either a communal or private zone depending on the type of activity.

THE PROJECT:

Pimpama State Primary College’s Resource Centre houses an extensive range of resources at student’s disposal including fiction/non-fiction books, adjoining classrooms and lounge areas. The project involved extensive colour consultations, space planning, furniture supply and professional installation. The end result was a bright and inviting learning environment.

The Spaces

SPACE 1 - Connect Zone

Communal study spaces with comfortable soft seating, access to wall sockets and in-ground charging ports make it easier for students to stay connected to digital resources.

Teaming together soft shades and textured fabrics creates a light and bright atmosphere.

SPACE 2 - Critical Zone

The Podiseum Setting encompasses students in a focused space in which they can reflect in or study and work in a small group.

Multi-purpose settings with compartments, writable surfaces and wheels provide a dynamic seating and storage solution all in one.

SPACE 3 - Culture Zone

A diverse range of soft seating options gives students choice and a sense of independence in where and how they work.

Students have the freedom to work on multiple levels, whether it be on the floor nestled in a bean bag, lounging on an ottoman or with a SmarTable™ Jotter Table.

This Resource Centre is abundant in soft seating customised in light shades and textured fabrics. Curved seating lounges creates private nooks where students can escape into for private study, critical thinking or group activities. Completed with storage compartments for books or school bags. The perspex screens that encircle the whole setting, providing a transparent window and writable surface. Whilst mobile ottomans and bean bags offer dynamic choices in seating for students on multiple levels.

Modern, agile and unique settings provide students with flexibility and choice in where and how they work.
