Front cover Rough Sketch

Big name brands, such as NME, Q, and Rolling stone, uses red in the masthead to stand out. Red is also one of the colours associated with the circus.

I want to layout my magazine cover like an old circus poster, with western style fonts, different sizes, and running down the page instead of across. Keeping the cover lines compact, and close to each other

Some cover lines that I might use in my final design. I do want to put a cover line on about festival or live gigs, as one of my magazines unique selling points is centred on performance.

I want to use circus colours, but not too many; red, yellow, orange, and blue, but not over the top. I want to keep it sophisticated like Q, and Rollingstone.

I want my main photo shot outside, to show the band members as a mixture of serious and fun.
