Introducing Martin Daubney

Before running the successful Coaching and Training business, Inspire Coaching GmbH in Basel, I profited from nearly 30 years in global corporate organisations, mostly in the pharmaceutical sector, including BioTech. Starting in Sales and then Marketing, I moved in to Internal Communications in 1998.

A move away from the hustle and bustle of sales and marketing in to one that gave me deeper insights into other areas of the business like, R&D, late stage Chemical Development, and Global Supply.

My first foray in to the coaching world started with the Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment which had a profound affect on my life. It was here that I realised that I really was in the wrong job. I got so much more energy from the informal coaching that I had been doing and the report from Gallup spelt that out. So, when the opportunity presented itself I retrained as a Psychological Coach and started my own coaching practice.

Since then my studies have helped me understand Emotional Intelligence (RocheMartin), and I became the first Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach in Switzerland.

In 2012 I became an NLP Master Coach and in 2014 Certified Trainer and Coach Trainer for NLP too, and now run NLP certification courses for others at the Centre for NLP. My most recent, and potentially most fascinating tool for use with clients is the Integrative Enneagram.

These days my coaching is far reaching as I help my clients gain their own deeper insights into what stops them from getting what they want. Anything from getting on board a plane to landing their dream job and promotion.

Introduction to Inspire Coaching GmbHInspire Coaching GmbH is a coaching and training company based in Basel since 2011. Our trained coaches work with leaders and individuals to help them overcome negative self talk, emotional blockers to success and find the way for them to improve their lives. Sometimes these people are very stressed, other times they just can’t find their own way through. Sometimes they just want to be the best they can be and fulfil their potential.

At Inspire Coaching our coaches have been trained through the Association of Coaching in London, Certified in Psychological Coaching and with the American Board of Neurolinguistic Programming to Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Trainer levels. This give us huge amount of knowledge to use flexibly with clients. As license holders we may also use the Integrative Enneagram, Emotional Intelligence, Gallup StrengthsFinder or Impact and LifeStyle Inventories for deeper understanding.

One of our main goals in life is to understand and reduce stress in the workplace and build resilient successful people, teams and companies. Everything we do is driven by this simple and powerful goal.

People seek a coach when they need a navigator for their journey or when they believe an alternative perspective or broadening of their outlook will make them more effective or even better than they are today.  As a coaches, we are accountable for real results. A coach helps people reach their goals and potential by helping them understand who they are and where they want to go. A coach guides and supports clients on their way and empowers them to get there.

Our coaching philosophy is based very much on getting the right chemistry between our coach and the client. Coaching for us is very much a “do with” process and not a “do to” one. So, we do not charge for our first meeting. Assuming we have agreement we work out an approach that suits the client and take it form there.

Our courses too are interactive and energetic. Our trainers are also trained in the art of presenting and delivering an engaging workshop that leave clients energised to make the changes needed.

Clear Your Head to Get AheadDeveloping Resilience in the Workplace

Target AudienceThis workshop is aimed at anyone who has to cope in a high-pressure environment or who wants to lead themselves and others through change and uncertainty.

What is Resilience?Resilience is the ability to cope when times get tough and to recover from change and adversity. Each of us is born with a renewable capability for resilience – the built-in capacity to heal, regenerate and grow – how well we utilise this depends on many things; the number and types of demands on us, our attitudes and beliefs about the world and the skills we have learnt and mastered for dealing with our environment.

What is the workshop like?Our one-day ‘Building a Resilient Workforce’ workshop is unlike any management or leadership course you have been on before. The course is both participative and reflective and uses innovative and creative techniques to enable participants to explore the topic of Stress and Resilience in both safe and challenging ways. The techniques learnt on the course can be immediately applied professionally and personally.

How does the training work?The training takes place over one day. Each participant has the opportunity to explore their current issues and challenges through a pre-workshop questionnaire and workshop sessions, and to develop new techniques to overcome these. Attendees learn a huge amount from each other as well as from the trainer. Participants may be asked to complete the DASS 21 questionnaire and the personality type questionnaire before attending the workshop; they will be up for discussion and explanation as the workshop progresses. During the workshop participants will develop their stress management action plan, complete a thinking skills audit and a locus of control questionnaire.

Some areas will be explored through use of video supplied by HSE.Gov.UK

Follow-up coaching sessions are offered to encourage delegates to continue with the new techniques they have learnt on the course.

Personal Coaching OfferAd Hoc Coaching at CHF400.00 per hour. This style of coaching is suitable for people who have extraordinary schedules that will allow an hour here and there, offering a lot of flexibility. However evidence suggests that heavy workload can make it difficult for the client to stick to this informal structure. This kind of agreement is perfect for clients who are very focussed and have limited time. Coaching hours are a strict 60 minutes.

Coaching hours are paid for in advance although a refund or re-use can be made if requested 48 hours before the next appointment.

The Intensive - Six Session package at CHF2500 - the Six Pack Our “6 Pack” Intensive program brings a short term coaching contract for specific and SMART goals. Lasting change is achievable within a 6 Pack which is more suited to people who are focussed and clear on their desired outcome. We invest more time with coaching “hours” running between 60 and 90 minutes per session.

Psychometric assessments such as the Gallup StrengthsFinder2.0, Integrative Enneagram, Emotional Capital Report and HumanSynergistics Change Management tools are charged at cost from the supplier.

The 6 Pack must be paid for in advance with all sessions completed in an 8 week period. Appointments can be made at the end of each session and at least 24 hours notice is required to make a change.

Maximum Flexibility - 3 Month Coaching program at CHF3997 Our 3 month program goes deep! We offer more time at each session (up to 120 minutes as needed) and support between sessions. For clients who travel a lot we also offer the coaching over Skype or by telephone if face to face is not possible or needed.

All psychometric assessments are included in the program, along with regular updates, sms hints and tips, relevant articles that support the program and the goals of the client.

Clients will be tasked in between sessions to speed up the desired outcome for change.
