With this edition I wanted to explore the use of colour since our culture is currently colour crazy. Everyone’s craving attention and always adopting the next unique trend. I don't mind a future like that, if it means we avoid Star Trek uniforms as Gene Roddenberry predicted in his TV series Star Trek. Volume 2 is this team’s exploration into where things already seem to be heading: walk the streets of Toronto or New York and you’ll see for yourself.
This magazine began with the desire to take what I love to do and just run with it. You may have wondered where Volume 2’s inspiration came from? The goal was to create an explosion of vibrante colours that overwhelms our senses. I never set out to create the realistic; we see that every day already! I hope that after viewing the surreal it will invoke a greater sense of passion for what you do next in your life.
I would like to personally thank everyone involved in this volume’s creation. It was a pleasure retouching and designing your hard work. Thank you for seeing the big picture and the enjoyment in creating some-thing unique. It's been a great learning experience to work with everyone in making this vision true.
