• Fired from secretarial position at Texas Bank & Trust because could not correct mistake

Led to her investing more time in invention and entrepreneurship

• Liquid Paper became a multi-million dollar company

• Now, product sales under the Gillette Corporation

Commercial Artist, Secretary, Inventor, Scientist, Businesswoman, Entrepreneur

Graham created Liquid Paper, a white liquid to cover

ink and typing mistakes, from hew own kitchen from

household products.

Isabel Allende

• Isabel Allende Llona

• Born in Peru to Chilean parent on August 2, 1942

• Became US citizen in 1993

• Chilean-American

• Advocated for female rights and empowerment

• Created the Isabel Allende Foundation, 1996

• Has received countless global awards and honorary recognition

Writer, Author, Journalist, Teacher, Advocate, and Activist

Ms. Allende is best known for her creative writing styles

in Latin Literature. She continues to write and teacher

creative writing and Latin-style literature.

Harriet Tubman

• Successfully escaped slavery in 1849

Born as Araminta Harriot Ross into a life of slavery

and severe abuse. Mrs. Tubman refused to accept

the treatment of colored slaves in American and

fought for the emancipation of slaves.
