Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST)Install an Operating System onto a RAID Volume (F6 Install Method)

Follow these steps to install an operating system onto a RAID volume:

1. Enable RAID in system BIOS

Depen#ing on your Intel #es)top boar# mo#el+ enable RAID by 'ollowing either o' the steps

below.

1. ,ress the F! )ey a'ter the ,ower*On*Sel'*%est -,OS% memory test begins.

. Sele&t the "on#iguration menu+ then the SA$A Dri%es menu.

". Set the "hipset SA$A Mode to RAID.

/. ,ress the F&' )ey to save the BIOS settings an# e0it the BIOS Setup program.

OR

1. ,ress the F! )ey a'ter the ,ower*On*Sel'*%est -,OS% memory test begins.

. Sele&t the Ad%aned menu+ then the Dri%e "on#iguration menu.

". Set the Dri%e Mode option to Enhaned.

/. Enable Intel RAID $ehnology.

. ,ress the F&' )ey to save the BIOS settings an# e0it the BIOS Setup program.

. Sele&t the option to "reate RAID Volume an# press Enter.

". %ype in a volume name or a&&ept the #e'ault name.
