Through service channels provided by the customer
The customer provides the Ethernet or E1 (or N x 64 K) channels, and NMS information of Huawei is directly connected to the third-party Ethernet port as common services or connected to E1 channels through the protocol converter/clock port.
The interface of Huawei is simple, involving no cooperation with third-party equipment.
The service channels of the customer are occupied.
1
Transparent transmission through synchronous ports or asynchronous ports
The third-party equipment is required to provide the synchronous or asynchronous data ports. Then, information is transmitted transparently through the third-party microwave equipment. Finally, information is converted back to Ethernet NMS information through the protocol converter. The NMS can also be connected to the third-party equipment directly.
Service channels are not occupied.
1. Special connectors need to be prepared. 2. The cooperation of the third party is required, which is very risky.
2
Through the IP over DCC protocol
The NEs of the third-party equipment are required to support IP and NMS ports. NMS information is transmitted in IP sharing mode.
Service channels are not occupied.
1. It is hard to configure. 2. The cooperation of the third party is required, which is very risky.
3
Through the OSI protocol
The NEs of the third-party equipment are required to support OSI (TP4) and NMS network ports. NMS information is transmitted in OSI sharing mode.
Service channels are not occupied.
1. It is harder to configure this solution than the IP solution. 2. The cooperation of the third party is required, which is very risky.

Acceptance – Strategies
1. The operations must be strictly compliant with the Acceptance Guide.
2. The acceptance consists of two parts, namely, Acceptance Items and Form (Recommended) and Acceptance Items and Form (Optional).
3. It is recommended that the items to be tested should be selected only from the Acceptance Items and Form (Recommended) and the items should be as few as possible. If the customer has special requirements, a few items that can be tested can be selected from the Acceptance Items and Form (Optional).
4. Before the acceptance, acceptance items and operation instructions that correspond to these items should be printed based on the selected items, combined into a manual, and submitted to the customer. The manual submitted to the customer cannot consist of items not to be tested and corresponding test instructions. It is prohibited to submit the unedited Acceptance Guide to users.
5. The items selected from the Acceptance Items and Form (Optional) need to be quoted and charged separately.
6. Recommend remote acceptance to customers. It is recommended that the percentage of items subject to on-site acceptance be 5% - 10%.

Acceptance – AM Test
Method of testing the AM handover function: If the hybrid microwave is used for transmission, whether the handover function is normal can be verified by testing the AM handover function.
Prerequisite: The antennas are aligned. The HYBRID/AM mode is configured.
Disable the AM function.
Enable 15-minute performance monitoring.
Query the performance: No FEC-BER-COR-ER, and only the low modulation mode is available.
Enable the AM function.
Query the performance: No FEC-BER-COR-ER exists. It can be found that the modulation modes is adjusted from low to high.
Procedure:
Notes:
1. The two ends of the link must be configured synchronously.
2. This method is not the same as the method of decreasing the optical power described in the Commissioning Guide. This is better. The Commissioning Guide will be modified later.

Strategies and requirements for microwave licenses
Due to the uncertainty of microwave network planning, delivery based on BTSs is impossible. Therefore, under the microwave strategy, the Supply Chain delivers the maximum number of licenses. The GTS is in charge of reclaiming the frontline licenses. For projects delivered by customers, customer support engineers should mark them clearly and the Supply Chain delivers the licenses as planned.
During the engineering implementation or before preliminary acceptance, GTS engineers reclaim licenses according to the actual license capacity in the orders. GTS engineers download license files of the corresponding capacity from the support website of Huawei, load them on the site or remotely through the DC software, and then click the files to activate them.

Entry to CEAS
In 2008, the Network Product Technical Service Dept issued the Notice on Requirements for Entry of Information About RTN Microwave Customer Equipment to CEAS, clearly requiring that engineering information about RTN microwave should be entered to CEAS in a timely manner.
The requirements and mode of entering homegrown products to CEAS should be the same as those of other products. After a project is completed, related data needs to be entered in CEAS. For entry criteria and operation methods, see the appendix to the Notice.
For RTN microwave engineering projects completed in 2008 or earlier, all missing data should be entered in CEAS in Q1 of 2009.
The network product manager of the technical service department at each representative office is the first owner for entering and supplementing data about homegrown microwave in CEAS. The product manager designates microwave engineers to complete the entry.
Currently, CEAS features low entry rate, low accuracy, and poor availability, which seriously affects the follow-up implementation of services. To improve the data entry rate of CEAS and enhance the timeliness and accuracy of CEAS data entry, the Network Product Technical Service Dept reiterates that:

Repair and Return of Damaged Boards
Currently, there is a large number of OEM parts, especially ODUs, are not returned. This situation seriously affects the analysis of fault causes and improvement of product quality of Huawei.
If the damaged boards (especially ODUs) are not returned in a timely manner, the vendor may delay the replenishment.
The purchased microwave or ODU damaged within the warranty, especially at the engineering stage, should be timely returned to vendors for repair, thus avoiding expensive maintenance costs caused by the repairs and returns beyond the warranty period.

Key strategic points of homegrown microwave spare parts:
The number of microwave spare parts to be sold is 3% - 5% of that of microwave spare parts to be installed. GTS engineers should control the sales of microwave spare parts to customers effectively.
The HQ does not store spare parts for OEM microwave or purchased equipment such as ODUs and antennas.
In principle, representative offices are not allowed to store microwave spare parts, especially OEM equipment such as ODUs.
For managed services and replacement of spare parts, representative offices can store a certain number of IDU and ODU spare parts according to the lowest requirement.
The HQ should review and approve the applications of representative offices for spare parts in strict compliance with related service contracts and service SLAs.
The OEM microwave and OEM spare parts applied for by representative offices shall, in principle, not be returned to the HQ (the method of handling the returned equipment or spare parts is unavailable).
Thank you
