The product is for tensile strength, compression, and bending test of various test sample. Since some parts of the machine can be dangerous to operators or other people around the machine, please fully be aware of the descriptions in Section - 2 for safe operation of the product.
Especially, in case of too big sized test sample that exceeds machine capacity, please pay special attention to it.To test those test samples, please contact Daekyung in advance to check if it is possible.

To transport the machine, use the transporting pole and two persons To transport the machine, use the transporting pole and two persons are required for transporting.

◈ This product can be used in the range of general indoor temperature. If the tolerance of voltage and current is exceeded, it can cause defect.

Precautions during installation
1) Ensure to check power supply in the installation place! - This product is designed for AC 220V, 1 A, 1ph, 50/60 Hz. - If power voltage is wrong, over current may cause a damage of the machine. - If you have different power voltage, please contact us.
2) Check the status of power earthing. - Earthing work can prevent electrical shock.
3) Check input power cable. - If it is possible, use exclusive power cable for the machine. - If the thickness of power cable in the input part does not match the capacity, it can cause a fire owing to over load.
4) Install the machine on a flat place. - This product is precise machine. - Never install the product on a slope or uneven place.

2) Earthing work [Caution] - This product is designed for single phase 3 wire system based on standard of electric equipment. How to use
Section - 5
① Tester must be installed on a place with no dust, humidity, or vibration.
② Install the machine a strong support, drill a hole on the prop on the lower part of the
SCREW about 90mm diameter and 160mm deep to allow lowering of the SCREW.
③ Install the machine a support, open the packing and then adjust horizontality.

④ Clean contacting surface on the lower part of ANVIL to sure that Anvil is free of filth
and/or oil.
⑤ Select a scale (Reference TableⅠ) suitable for a test sample, insert diamond cone or
steel ball indenter suitable for scale and then set test weight according to the scale by
turning test weight adjusting HANDLE.
⑥ Turn MAIN switch ON and check if the LAMP is ON.
If the Lamp is not ON, automatically move back to test position.

⑦ Place a test sample on ANVIL and turn SCREW HANDLE clockwise to let short needle be
located at the middle of red point after the needle of the indicating GAUGE rotates 3 times.
⑧ Press START BUTTON to start operating. LAMP will be flickering and turned OFF.
At this point load will be applied and returned automatically. When a test is completed,
the LAMP will be ON.
⑨ When the needle of indicating GAUGE stops and LAMP is ON, a test is completed.
In case of diamond cone, read black number, and in case of steel ball indenter,
read red value as hardness value.
⑩ Turn SCREW HANDLE counterclockwise to remove test sample.

- Roughly process contacting surface between test sample and ANVIL until it becomes
flat surface for tests.
- Vertically install test sample and indenter and ensure that mark surface is not too coarse.
- To select a scale suitable for a test sample, please see Reference Table Ⅰ.

Before test
- Check if the indenter and load is correct according to the scale.
- During inserting or taking out diamond indenter, be careful that the indenter does not bump into the Anvil on the lower part. Diamond indenter is relatively sensitive to impact.
- Check if the product is not shaking prior to any test.h l h l h l f f When a test sample is heavy, please pay attention to the sample for safety.
- Any person who conduct the test must wear gloves. If you touch Anvil with bare hand, it will get rusty easily and give small effect to hardness value.
After test
- During taking out an indenter after test, be careful that the indenter does not bump into the Anvil on the lower part.
- Replace the product cover after each test.
Weekly Maintenance
- Remove dust near and on the screw and clean the machine - Remove dust near and on the screw and clean the machine.
- Wipe each Anvil with oil to prevent rust.
Monthly Maintenance

Occurrence of an error of hardness value is caused by various reasonsOccurrence of an error of hardness value is caused by various reasons.Check for the error observing the following orders.
1. Damage of diamond indenter (in case of HRC measurement)
