5. INSTALLING THE LATCH (need phillips head screwdriver) a.Makesurethefaceplatesitsflushwiththedoor.Donotforce thelatchintothemortiseflush.Chiseloutexcessmaterialif
necessaryforaflushfit(Figure5a). b.Usingtwo3/4”(19mm).screwsprovided,screwthelatchintothe doorwithahandheldscrewdriver.DONOTOVERTIGHTEN (Figure5b).

7. SECURING THE EXTERIOR ASSEMBLY TO THE DOOR a.Fromthesidemarked“Thissideagainstdoor”, route the Control Wire through the rectangular slotintheMountingPlate(Figure7a). b.PlaceMountingPlateagainstdoorwithtailpiecepassing throughthecenterholeinthethreeholeset(Figure7b). c.SecuretheMountingPlatetotheExteriorAssemblyusing two7/8”(22mm)Screws(Figure7c). d.HandtightenwithaPhillipsScrewdriverleavingloosely connected(Figure7d).
e.CheckthattheRubberGasketisproperlyalignedandcorrectasnecessary(Figure7e). f.Checkverticalalignmentofthelock(Figure7f). g.TightensecurelywithahandheldPhillipsScrewdriver.DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
8. OPTIONAL INSTALLATION a.Usinga1/16”(2mm)drillbit,drillapilotholeinyourdoor usingtheMountingPlateupperholeasaguide(Figure8a). b. Insert one 3/4”(19mm)screwandtighten.

6. INSTALLING THE EXTERIOR ASSEMBLY Note: WorkwiththeDoorOpenforeasyaccess.Toaccessthemountingplate,unpacktheInteriorAssemblyandremovethebatterycoverbyslidingthecoverupward.LocatethescrewsholdingtheMountingPlatetotheInteriorAssembly.RemovethescrewstoreleasetheMountingPlatefromtheInteriorAssembly.
a.UnpacktheExteriorAssembly.Usecaretonotscratchthegreencircuitboard during handling and installation.
b.CheckthattheRubberGasketisproperlyseatedontheExteriorAssembly (Figure6a-b).
c.InserttheExteriorAssemblyontothedoorwiththetailpiecegoingthroughthe Latch spindle in the VERTICAL POSITION. Route the Control Wire through
thedoorovertheLatch(Figure6c).

9. ATTACH THE CONTROL WIRE TO THE INTERIOR ASSEMBLY a.UsecaretoattachtheControlWiremaleplugtotheInteriorAssemblyfemale socketconnector(Figure9a). b.DonotforcetheControlWiremaleplugintotheInteriorAssemblyfemale socketconnector(Figure9b). c.TheControlWiremaleplughastwoalignmenttabsonthesmoothsideofthe plugwhichisthetopoftheplug(Figure9c). d.TheControlWiremaleplugisinsertedwiththesmoothsideupintotheInterior Assemblyfemalesocketconnector(Figure9d).
10. ATTACH THE INTERIOR ASSEMBLY TO DOOR a.PositiontheInteriorAssemblyoverthetailpieceandpushtheInteriorAssembly againstthedoor(Figure10a).
b.Usingtwo5/16”(8mm)screws and one 1”(25mm)screw, attach theInteriorAssemblytotheMountingPlate.DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SCREWS
(Figure10b).

11. Installing Batteries a.Insert4AAhighqualityAlkalinebatteriesintotheBatteryCompartmentinthe directionnoted+/-ontheCompartment.TheLockwillbeep2times,thekeypad willilluminateblue,andtheHoneywellbuttonwillflashgreentwicetosignifythat ithasreceivedpower(Figure11a).
b.SlidetheBatteryCoverdownintothetrackontheInteriorAssemblytocoverthebatteries(Figure11b).
12. Testing Lock WiththeDoorOpen a.TesttheLockusingtheInteriorKnob.TheLatchshouldmovesmoothly. b.TestthelockusingtheKeypad.Tolockpressandthenpress“1234” to unlock.

Electronic lock requires (4) High Quality AA Alkaline batteries. When all 4 batteries are installed in the correct position, hear 2 beeps and the keypad will illuminate blue. DO NOT TOUCH the keypad until the keypad stops illuminating.
