what is GrEEn DEal?Green Deal is a government-backed scheme designed to reduce the uk’s carbon emissions by improving the energy efficiency of existing building stock both domestic and non-domestic in order to meet the carbon targets set by the climate change act.

how to become a GrEEn DEal installer

registration• You will need to register with an approved

Green Deal installer certification body

Preparation• You will need to ensure your document

management system meets the Green Deal installer criteria - pas2030

• You will need to set up an installation of the technology you would like to become certified for (please note that this installation won’t be eligible for Green Deal funding)

Application• complete your application form and return

to your approved Green Deal installer certification body

Installation• You will need to ensure that you are installing

products that you wish to register for

• products must be included on the Green Deal list

• You must include all products i.e. boilers, controls, draught proofing, insulation etc in the install – if you do not include a product, a second installation and a second assessment will need to be made – at an additional cost to you

• assessment may take more than one day depending on the number of measures being assessed

accreditation • as with mcs, non-conformities are notified to

the installer and there is a 40 day period to address these

we are now taking registrations to work with us to gain funding for eco work and to access Green Deal loan finance.You can register on our scheme as an installer or as an installer and advisor combined.

Installer registration• in order to be eligible to register with our scheme as an installer you must meet the following criteria

and be able to provide the following• Gained Green Deal installer status (pas2030) with one of the following certification bodies –

napit or niceic

• if you are certified through a pas2030 accreditation body other than napit and niceic than you may be eligible to work with us on ECOAffordableWarmthonly – please contact us to find out.

• proof of qualifications

• suitable insurance documents

• a list of measures you will be installing

GreenDealAdvisorRegistrationin order to register to our GDa scheme you need to be the following

• a qualified Green Deal advisor trained through sevenoaks energy academy

or• a qualified Green Deal advisor and have taken our one day software course

• proof of qualifications

• You need to be eligible to lodge through nes-1

• You may register a Domestic energy assessor but will be eligible to work with us on ECOAffordableWarmthonly – please contact us to find out more

Q:HowdoIgetregisteredontothescheme?You need to be pas2030 and have a wolseley uk credit account; once these are in place contact your local plumb center branch who will advise on how to register.

Q:WhathappensonceIhaveregistered?You will be issued with an installer pack and/or and advisor pack which will take you through the processes. You will also receive a boiler eligibility script and user names, passwords and download details for your relevant apps.

Q:Doweneedanyadditionaltraining?if you are a Dea/GDa but did not train with us then you will need to take our one day software course. if you are an installer then we don’t require any additional training but you must be pas2030 accredited. Dea who trained with us will require a one day top up course to cover eco specific instructions.

Q:CanyoutrainmetobecomeaGDA?Yes, please contact sevenoaks energy academy on 0845 287 1970 for further details.

Q:HowdowegetPAS2030?You will need to be accredited by a certification body - we currently work in partnership with napit and niceic.

Q:Dowefundanythingotherthanboilerinstalls?no, we are currently only funding boiler replacement installations.

Q:ArewedoingGreenDealplansyet?no, but we will keep you posted on how Green Deal is progressing.

Q:HowmanyboilerscanIcurrentlyputthrough?the numbers of boilers that can be fitted by an installer will be determined by the level of finance available from power companies or via the eco brokerage. we have good levels of finance in place and we are constantly monitoring the position. if this position were to change we will communicate to installers the effect of this.

Q:DoIgetafreeissueboiler?no, you will need to purchase the boiler through your plumb center account.

Q:DoIneedtopayanythingtogetontoyourscheme?there is no cost to join our scheme.

Q:CanIaccessyourassessorsandhowmuchdoesitcost?we have a panel of assessors (available shortly) that you can access to do assessments – if the job becomes an eco installation funded by wolseley Green Deal services limited then there is no charge - otherwise a charge of £60 plus vat will apply.

Q:DoIhavetolodgetheEPCanddoIpaythelodgementfee?Yes, all assessments must be lodged and we pay this fee for you.

Q:WhatappsdoIget?You will get an installer software app and/or an epc software app if you are a Dea/GDa.

Q: CanIdownloadtheappfromtheAppleStore?no, they can only be downloaded using the special link you will be sent once you are registered.

Q:DoIneedtobePAS2030certifiedto carryoutinstallations?Yes, you will need to be pas2030 to carry out installations for all eco and Green Deal work. this pas2030 accreditation is for the company you work for.

Q:Ifwecreatealeadandpassitovertooneofyourassessorswilltheleadstaywithuswhenitcomestoinstallation?Yes, the lead must go back to the originator.

Q:WillIknowhowmuchfundingisavailableforajobwhenIcompleteanassessment?Yes, you will get an estimated funding rate but the exact amount of money will not be confirmed until it has been approved by wolseley Green Deal services ltd. if you have used your own assessor to complete the assessment you will need to pay them directly.

Q:DoIneedaniPad?Yes, both the installer and assessor apps run off an ipad.

Q:TocompleteGreenDealandEco InstallationsdoIneedtobeatradeaccountholderwithPlumbCenter?Yes, you will need a wolseley uk credit account.

Q:Canyoufundjobsthatarealreadyinstalled?no.

Q:Canyoutakeassessmentsthatarealreadylodged?no.

Q:Iuseahub,canIjusttransfermydataover?no, we currently are not able to do this.

Q:WhatboilerscanIfit?we have a list of boilers from a number of different manufacturers that you are allowed to fit and are displayed on our website www.gogreendeal.co.uk

Q: WhatdoIneedtofitwithaboiler?Fitting of the boiler must be in line with current building regulations.

Q: CanwehaveaccesstoPropertyHub?no, we won’t be giving access to our customers to our property hub at this moment in time.

Q: HowdoIknowyouwon’tleavemewithjobsandnofunding?we are working hard to ensure we have a number of revenue streams to fund your installs – should we have any issues we will let you know as soon as we are aware.
