Sebastián have signed an agreement to promote

the transformation of Donostia-San Sebastián into

This entity was the first Ikusi customer to

incorporate the advanced network and

communication services management software

focusing on the monitoring of variables hard to

interpret in the daily operation of the complex

network systems of Nupsys, a company with which

Ikusi maintains an exclusive agreement in the

Mexican market.

Over a hundred remote presence rooms in which

more than 800 meetings are held on a monthly

basis, distributed throughout Mexico, Argentina,

Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Puerto

Rico, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and

Miami. Pepsico has relied on Ikusi since 2012 to

take charge of the integrated administration of this

extensive remote presence platform.

The Technological and Higher Studies Institute

(Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de

Monterrey, ITESM) is an institution very much

involved in the assimilation of innovative

educational methodologies. This institution wanted

to go further and take advantage of the

opportunities that new tendencies such as the

Internet of Things or the Cloud implied for

education, as technological tools enabling new

educational formulas.

CFE entrusted Ikusi with the project to start up a

telecommunications infrastructure for the purpose

of providing a private virtual network and internet

access to the entire Mexican Federal Government

as well as any private initiative wanting a change

of telecommunications operator. This in fact

transformed CFE into a telecommunications

provider.

Telcel TelumCFE

The rising consumption of data in mobile devices

together with the deployment of the new LTE (Long Term

Evolution) or 4G bandwidth standard are behind the

Telcel decision to expand its MPLS network so as to

strengthen its infrastructure and avail of su�cient

capacity for data transport. The project carried out by

Ikusi enables Telcel to provide innovative new broadband

services and applications, such as high-definition video

conferences, video streaming, social networking, etc.

The internet services that service providers o�er

their subscribers run faster every day, a process

that is in continuous growth. Ikusi developed a

project for the cable television company. Telum

that enables the highest levels of speed and at the

same time reuses the current co-axial and optic

fiber cable (HFC) that the customer already avails

of.

Sports Stadium Security Project: La Serena Stadium

The new La Portada de la Serena Stadium in Chile avails

of CCTV systems, access control, loudspeaker and

communications network systems installed by Ikusi – a

new project added to those already developed for the

Calama Municipal Stadium, the Playa Ancha Stadium in

Valparaíso and the Rancagua Stadium. The awarding of

this new contract has turned Ikusi into the main

reference company in Chile for security, information and

communications systems in soccer stadiums.

Pemex

Historically, Pemex security systems had been

regional, based on technology type, and their

administration was localized. Pemex requested

support and consultancy from renowned

companies in the Mexican security market to

conduct implementation of CCTV and access

control systems in multiple installations

distributed throughout di�erent geographic points

in the Mexican Republic that would permit the

remote monitoring of activities from a central

worksite. Ikusi turned out the chosen firm.

Port of Barcelona

The port of Barcelona needed to control heavy

vehicles access e�ectively without interrupting or

delaying the usual operations of the infrastructure,

placing the information on the access of such

vehicles at the disposal of di�erent agents (police,

operations, customs, etc.).

The construction and start-up of Terminal 1 in the

Barcelona Airport was one of the most significant airport

projects developed in Spain over the past few years. AENA

entrusted Ikusi as the technological supplier for these

new airport installations. For 2 years, a team of over 50

Ikusi sta� labored on the works for Barcelona's T1 at peak

activity hours in order to implement the di�erent security,

public information, invoicing, boarding and airport

management system projects that AENA han awarded

Ikusi.

of a new airport terminal that would o�er the

As a result of the strong thrust in new thoroughfare

infrastructure as well as the need to adapt existing infrastructure

to the European Directive on tunnel safety, the Regional

Government of Gipuzkoa saw the need to specifically deal with

the preservation of electronic components alon with tunnel

safety and control elements by means of a special contract.

The solution implemented allows for continuous improvement as

well as advanced data and coordination management over the

di�erent stakeholders involved in operating the infrastructure.

Santiago de Chile Subway Vitoria-Gazteiz TramRegional Government of Gipuzkoa

Line 1 of Santiago de Chile subway is the oldest line on the

network and serves as its main axis. The line, inaugurated

in 1975, has undergone several expansions as well as the

modernization of the trains providing service. In 2008, the

company CAF awarded Ikusi a project to incorporate a new

information and communications system into its trains that

would allow the transmission of visual as well as acoustic

messages to passengers. The project lasted a year and a

half and since then has undergone constant development.

Ikusi has developed and implemented the

communications, ticketing and on-board equipment

systems to assist in the operation of the Vitoria

tramway. To this must be added the security,

information and communications systems for the

mobile material supplied by Ikusi.

Zembrano Hellion Hospital began to operate in 2012 with the purpose of innovating in

medical practice. For this reason, it focused on initiatives to improve patient

experience, o�ering superior entertainment, communication and service options

during hospital stays. Ikusi drew up a project that included, among other innovations,

the development and configuration of bedSite terminals equipped for entertainment,

hospital services and patient information functions as well as clinical functions for

medical personnel, integrating bedSite and Dashboard applications to enable sta� to

attend to requests coming from the rooms and to optimize resources based on the

levels of healthcare on record and the development and installation of the Wayfinding

orientation system to guide hospital visitors, exploiting the hospital's internal tra�c

flow data.

Demar is a large Mexican company providing services to PEMEX oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico,

with a workforce of 2 500 employees located on 9 barges (floatels) close by, and at a land base

where over 500 operational support workers are located.

Demar’s management considers it a key objective to continuously optimize its workplace health

program. In view of the conditions under which the Demar health area conducts its activity, the

company decided to implement a Remote Health platform that would enable remote supervision

of the workers at sea and expedite the process of prior chech-up applied to embarking workers

Bombardier

Manufacture of energy e�ciency measurement cards for Bombardier trains

Bombardier has hired Ikusi to manufacture and test 190 cards for measuring the power

e�ciency of its trains through its Services Division in Spain.

Ikusi is conducting this project for Bombardier through the Canadian company's Services

Division in Spain –a division that, given its long experience, has been designated the

knowledge and development center for new products and services relating to energy

savings throughout Bombardier. This is a significant topic, following the liberalization of

the railway sector and the changes in the electric consumption of traction on the

European level, which have put an end to the old practice by infrastructure

administrators of transferring the electric bill to the public operator. In the future,

operators will pay solely and exclusively for the power they consume. A new European

standard regulating on-board power consumption measuring equipment has appeared in

response to these changes. And the first measure to reduce power consumption, and

with it the bills to pay, depends on the measurement and study of how that power is

consumed. This is where the cards that Ikusi is helping to manufacture come into play.

The Canadian company Bombardier, specializing in the construction of railway materials

and systems, has been an Ikusi client for many years. Both companies have worked

together in projects for on-board systems and in infrastructure such as the driverless

train of Madrid Barajas Airport, the subway and the light rail system of Mexico, among

others.
