Marbling Colors Marbling color for immersion-marbling of wood, glass, plastic materials, paper, metal, stoneware, terracotta, polystyrene foam … Made in Germany. Instruction - immersion-marbling: Dripping Fill containers with water in which the object can be completely immersed. Note: You will not be able to completely clean the containers after using them for marbling. We therefore recommend that you protect the containers with a plastic bag. Shake the marbling paint well and then hold the color close to the water and let it drip onto the surface. Drawing the pattern The more color you let drip into the water, the more intense the marble effect. After dripping the droplets of color into the water draw the marble pattern immediately using a wooden rod. 2 - 3 colors can be used to achieve ideal marbling results. 1 2 Immersing Place the object, e.g. Polystyrene foam, on the wooden rod and slowly immerse it into the water, stop briefly and then pull it quickly back out. To prevent a second layer of color forming on the object gently blow on the surface of the water before removing the object to push the color to the outside edge of the container. Let dry. Depending on the base material of the object you are marble-painting, the color will be dust-dry within 15 - 30 minutes. You can wipe off the objects after they have dried completely. Finished For the next marbling phase care- fully remove the excess color using a sheet of paper (edge) from the surface of the water. Remove any paint residues to ensure that the new color is distributed uniformly. Replace the water when it becomes too dirty. 3 4 Marbling Colors 30 brilliant colors with magnificent radiance 20 ml jars with drop tip for easy and exact dosage 9 metallic and 2 glitter colors for lustrous results Fast drying Hobby Line Magic Marble Marbling Colors in 19 color shades 73201 White 73202 Lemon 73203 Sun Yellow 73204 Orange 73205 Red 73206 Rosé 73207 Ruby Red 73208 Magenta 73209 Violet 73210 Light Blue 73211 Blue 73212 Dark Blue 73213 Turquoise 73214 Light Green 73215 Green 73216 Ochre 73217 Brown 73218 Black 73222 Colorless Magic Marble Metallic in 9 color shades 73221 Copper 73225 Metallic-Yellow 73226 Metallic-Red 73227 Metallic-Rosé 73219 Silver 73220 Gold 73228 Metallic-Violet 73229 Metallic-Blue 73230 Metallic-Green Colors are represented within the limitations of printing processes. Smooth surfaces such as glass, metal or plastic materialsmust be free of grease (clean before painting using appropriate cleaners). You can apply a base coat of Hobby Line satin varnish (Item No. 830150) to the material, especially on glass, before marbling to achieve better results.

The order in which you drip the colors into the water will have an effect on the marbling pattern. The first color is partially displaced by the second one, meaning the second color will be more vibrant.

For single-color marbling, use colorless marbling paint and the desired color.

You can mix the colors to create your own individual colors in this way.

Always work at a brisk pace when marbling, as otherwise a semi-dry color film will form on the surface of the water.

Original colors can only be obtained on a white base. The colors appear somewhat darker on wood or other materials with a darker natural color.

We recommend using a substitute of turpentine (for example from SOLO GOYA, Item No. 3571-50ML) as a cleaning agent.

Close the paint jars immediately after use. We recommend wearing gloves and an apron when painting. Paint a sample piece when painting textiles and fabrics. For polystyrene foam use maximum 4 color shades and alltogether about 15 drops of color.

For a bucket with about 12 cm diameter please take max. 15 drops of color.
