Instructions for 2020 Jazz Ensemble/CJE Bass Auditions: 

 

Using the Chart for “Three and One” (Thad Jones) provided, Please present us with a complete 

continuous video (not sectionalized) following this format: 

1.  Play the melody line as written, through letter C.   

2.  Read the COMPOSED bass line from Letters C‐E 

3.  Walk your own bass line from Letters E‐G. 

In other words, present the video with you playing continuously from the top of the chart through letter 

G.
