Instructions and Information with regard to GD/PIT-PI for M.A. Admissions 2014-2016

• All candidates shortlisted for GD/PIT-PI need to download the Detailed Application Form (DAF) available on the admissions website, complete it in their own handwriting, and carry alongwith them while attending GD/PIT/PI to TISS Campuses.

• Candidates are requested to fill in separate detailed application form for every programme they have been called for.

• Please do not attach any photogaphs or marksheets to the DAF.• Candidates have been sent an 'Application Abstract' on their emailid. The 'Application Abstract' has

an abstract of the details filled by the candidate while applying online, dates and the locations of GD/PIT-PI for each shortlisted programme. If the photograph or signature is not appearing properly, please afix a photograph.

• The DAF, 'Aplication Abstract' should be carried in person and submitted on the day of GD/PIT/PI.

• GD/PIT/PI will be conducted in the TISS Mumbai campus from March 11 to 21, 2014, Hyderabad Campus from March 24 to 29, 2014 and in Guwahati Campus from March 31 to April 3, 2014 and the reporting time will be 8.00 a.m. The GD/PIT/PI for Candidates shortlisted for programmes from Mumbai/Tuljapur/MHAT/BANYAN/CUTN campuses will attend the GD/PIT/PI at Mumbai campus (Note: candidates shortlisted for a single programme have to report at TISS Naoroji campus, whereas candidates shortlisted for multiple programmes have to report at TISS Main campus), candidates shortlisted for programmes from Hyderabad campus will attend the GD/PIT/PI at Hyderabad campus, candidates shortlisted for programmes from Guwahati campus will attend the GD/PIT/PI at guwahati campus.

• The PI normally starts at 10.00 a.m,. and will continue till 6.00 p.m. The reporting time is 8:00 am. Candidates are advised to book their return journey tickets for bus/train/flight departing after 7.30 p.m. Though the Institute tries its level best to complete the process as early as possible for outstation candidates, candidates are requested to keep enough time in between their PI and time for return journey. The order of appearance of PI for candidates will strictly be maintained and no request for changing the order will be entertained.

• Dates of GD/PIT/PI are fixed and will not be changed for any other candidates except only for those whose dates are clashing with their University final year examinations or any other entrance exam. To avail this, the candidates need to send a proof of exam (valid exaimination schedule, copy of admit card etc.) with a request for changing the dates of GD/PIT/PI to Assisatnt Registrar(Academic) on email id [email protected] by 3rd March 2014.

• The venue of GD/PIT/PI will be displaced on the Institue's website on March 5, 2014 and candidates are advised to refer to it for other information regarding how to reach the Institute from different locations, taxi/bus fare, etc.

• OBC(NC) candidates are requested to bring their latest Non-Creamy Layer certificate, if the same was not produced along with their application. OBC(NC) applicants not supported by this certificate will be considered to as a General Category candidate.

• Unemployed SC/ST outstation candidates whose parent's/guardian's annual income is less than Rs.2.5 lakhs and unemployed OBC(NC) outstation candidates whose parent's/guardian's annual income is less than Rs.1 Lakh during the Financial Year 2012-13 are entitled for reimbursement of travel expenses. They will be provided to and fro travel expenses (Second Class Railway or State

Transport Bus fare).• The reimbursement of the travel expenses will be subject to their submission of the original journey

tickets. It will be the responsibility of the eligible candidates to fill the TA form(download from the TISS admissions website) along with attested photocopy of caste/tribe/OBC(NC) and Income Certificate for speedy reimbursement process. Provide a photocopy of the 'Application Abstract' for the GD/PIT/PI before they appear and collect the money as soon as it gets over. The local eligible candidates are not entitled for travel reimburement.

• No Candidates will be provided accommodation in the TISS Campuses during the period of GD/PIT/PI held at the TISS campuses. List of Hotels & Lodge near by TISS Campus are been displayed on the website for your information. Only the outstation eligible SC/ST/OBC(NC) candidates will get the reimbursement of Rs.500/- (Rs. Five Hundred only) for the boarding (Rs.150/-) and lodging charges (Rs.350/-) on the actual day of GD/PIT/PI of the candidate. TA form is to bought during GD PI for reimbursement puporse, please download the same from the website. Only candidates who are differently abled (PWD) will be offered accommodation in the TISS Campus on the day of GD/PIT/PI. Candidates can directly request to the Section Officer(Hostel) on email id [email protected] and make arrangements for their stay.

• Candidates found ineligible for any of the programmes they have been shortlisted for will be disqualified at any stage in the admission process. The eligibility criteria for each programme has been put up on the admissions website. If finally selected for admission, candidates beloging to the SC, ST, OBC(NC), KM, PWD, Armed forces categories should produce necessary certificates proving their category. Candidates failing to produce relevant certificates will not be given admission.
