Instructions to Assessor
To support students in completing all assessment tasks assessors should:
Ensure current version of TAEDES401A Design and develop learning programs and TAEDES402AUse training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
is being implemented in training and assessment design. The most current version of this document should be accessed from www.training.gov.au
Ensure appropriate learning has preceded the implementation of assessment. Learning must include:
o Sufficient learning hours for qualification as defined by AQF and ASQAo Modelling of tasks by trainer to ensure appropriate skills and knowledge are outlined
as detailed in this Unit of Competencyo Sufficient opportunities for students to practise defined skills and knowledge as
outlined in this Unit of Competencyo Provide ongoing feedback to students throughout learning to build skills, knowledge
and attitudes required for successful completion of this unit Ensure students have knowledge of all assessment tasks to be completed for this unit at the onset of
training Ensure students have sufficient opportunity to complete all tasks, including opportunities for resubmission
if required. Assessor should allow for ongoing submission of assessment tasks throughout the learning program so as to ensure students have opportunities to improve their submissions based on assessor feedback. Assessment should not be implemented at completion of learning program only
Students may be provided with templates for completing assessment tasks. Please see sample templates attached. If assessor chooses different templates, then these must go through a validation process to ensure they address defined Performance Criteria and Performance Evidence as defined in TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs
Students must complete all tasks as detailed in Instructions to Students Assessor must ensure that all WH&S procedures as defined by RTO are adhered to during assessment Reasonable adjustment must be applied when and where required LLN support to be organised if required during learning and/or assessment Students can ask assessor for clarification of word meanings and questions as required Students can use electronic and other dictionaries for further independent clarification as required Students will be marked as Satisfactory, or Not Satisfactory for each task. Where student work is
considered Not Satisfactory, they will be provided with an opportunity to resubmit Once all assessments are completed students will be given an outcome of Competent C or Not
Competent NC for this unit
NOTE: The assessment tasks for this unit may be applied to a holistic/integrated approach to include TAELLN411. The clustering of these units must include an assessment validation process to ensure all Performance Criteria and Performance Evidence for each unit are being addressed.

Assessment 1 Task outline
Identify two different training needs common to your workplace context.
Go to www.training.gov.au and identify a Training Package or an Accredited Course that you can use to help address the learning needs of your training context. You may choose two different Training Programs from the same Training Package, or, you may choose one Training Program from a Training Package and one from an Accredited Course. Confirm your preferences with your assessor prior to undertaking these tasks to ensure you have addressed the assessment requirements for this unit.
Using the training and assessment standards and criteria found in your training program design two different learning programs for two different learning needs. You will need to develop and submit:
o A description of the training scenario and context
o A work health and safety risk assessment for your training and learning environment
o A training and assessment strategy TAS (version 1)
o Review TAS with relevant stakeholders and adjust. Name this version as version 2
To be deemed satisfactory you are required to:o Develop two learning programso Complete two Training & Assessment Strategieso Complete a WH&S risk assessment for each training context
