The Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking talented, motivated instructors to teach summer

programs during the months of May – August. The targeted age groups are: toddlers, children, teens, and

adults. The generalized program areas include: summer camps, cultural arts, music/dance, outdoor/nature, sports/

fitness/wellness, educational/enrichment, and special interest/events.

Program proposals and applications are due as soon as possible (better chance of getting your preferred schedule/

facility), but they should be submitted no later than Friday, January 23.

CAMP INSTRUCTOR – DAY CAMPS (SEVERAL POSITIONS)

Plans, schedules and implements activities, including games, sports and crafts for youth ages 5 - 11 (or teens ages

12 - 15), for one or more Day Camp(s). Camps will be offered weekly during the months of June and July. NOTE:

We are NOT seeking assistant instructors (or “camp counselors”) at this time. The contracted instructor will be the

lead instructor that is primarily responsible for their own camp(s).

PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR (SEVERAL POSITIONS)

Do you have a special talent, skill or hobby to teach…? WE NEED YOU! The Fayette County Parks and

Recreation Department is seeking talented, motivated instructors to teach in all program areas. Instructors have

flexibility in offering their program as either a one-day class/workshop or a multi-day/week session, depending on

instructor availability and what makes sense for that type of class.

Specific programs/camps needed:

♦ Art camps and/or once-a-week instruction for youth and adults

♦ Sports camps (multi-sport and/or single sport per week)
