ChemResearch instruments

for automatic sample processing

You can completely automate even your most complex lab procedures with the ChemResearch sample processor - it will do virtually everything you can do manually, but with better precision and repeatability. In addition to simple chemical analyses, it is suitable for such diverse purposes as tissue culture growth; automatic control of complex process reactors such as peptide synthesizers; biochemical processing; and the fundamental characterization of reactions by varying experimental parameters through practically infinite permutations.

Up to 210 samples can each be processed through 960 steps, involving reagent addition from up to 40 sources, agitation, incubation, and many other events. It can measure pH, optical absorbance, or other characteristics at any time, and will vary the program in response to these measurements.

Utilizing an integral microprocessor-based computer, the sample processor is quickly programmed by simple keystrokes. You don't have to know a computer language, and an annunicator display even tells you what to enter next.

Put a ChemResearch sample processor to work for you -save your technician for the easy jobs.

...for high performance liquid chromatography

The ChemResearch liquid chromatograph is a modular unit suitable for a wide range of analytical and semi-preparative applications. This compact HPLC system offers many conveniences: LED readouts monitor 15 operating parameters; all valve and column plumbing projects from the oven when the door is opened; a precisely reproducible injection mark is automatically made every time the valve is operated; and pressure and temperature are monitored by cutoffs with alarms.

Detector choices include a multi-wavelength UV/visible photometer and variable wavelength spectrophotometer. The isocratic pumping system has a sophisticated feedback control which compensates for valve action and other irregularities to produce extremely smooth solvent flow. An optional two-pump gradient system can be quickly set for a wide variety of gradients.

The internally mounted injection valve matches column temperature to provide better reproducibility and to prevent precipitation of samples which require heat to remain in solution. The oven accomodates four 25cm columns or two 50cm columns, with ± 1 °C temperature control.
