Poetry
Martin Luther King Jr. Poem
Let us dance, let us sing. In praise of Martin Luther King.
A man of peace who stood up tall. He worked for fairness for us all.
We must be kind to one another, Because he said, 'All men are
brothers."
So let us try as we dance and sing, To be like Martin Luther King
Mr. Lincoln by Helen H. Moore
You know Mr. Lincoln-no fancy clothes for him:
A stovepipe hat, a wrinkled coat, and whiskers on his chin.
You know Mr. Lincoln-His face is on the penny.
In life, that face was lined with care, for troubles, he had many.
That brave Mr. Lincolnsaid slavery was wrong.
He led us through the Civil War,and kept our country strong.
That humble Mr. Lincoln, had in him something grand-
that helped raise him from povertyto lead our mighty land.
