Log into the workforce site
using your Named User

Creating Workforce Project
Insert
Name: Your Username (eg. student@uc32)

Add Assignment Types
Type 2 or more Assignment types into the
field provided.
Eg. Inspections, Maintenance, Site Visits, etc.

Assigning Organisation Users to your project
Search for users from the Organisation User
dropdown and assign a Project Role to them

Add contact numbers, job titles and notes to every
User

Enable Location Tracking and adjust the interval

Creating a Webmap
Create a webmap by viewing the Hydrants
Feature Service in a map.

Open a Feature Service
The feature service configuration options
Select the Settings tab
Configure the Feature Service to enable editing
Enable all the editing functionality required by ticking
the relevant boxes

It is advised that the feature service not be deleted while work
Is in progress. Therefore ensure that the box is ticked.
Opening a Feature Service in a Webmap
Revisit the Overview page and click on the
Open in Map View button

Inspect the feature in the Webmap
Interact with the Hydrants feature service and
Select the preferred basemap.
Once satisfied with the result, Save the WebMap
using your username as its name.

Configure the Feature Service Pop-up
Select which fields are to be Displayed, which fields should be edited and
change the alias of the relevant fields.
Save the Pop-up and then the webmap.

Open the Survey123 App
Create a Survey123 form

Drag and Drop the desired question type and configure each according to your form’s workflow

Word the question and design the layout of the questions according to your needs.

Assign dropdown choices to your questions and configure the working and layout.
Build a rule set and add logic to your form

Once all the fields have been added, assign a rule to
a question, which will hide or show related questions
as specified by the logic’s rule.
Survey123 form design tools
Set the appearance of the form and provide a message to
be displayed after each form has been submitted.
When the form has been completed, press Save and Publish.
Share your form.
Share your form with those intended on using it.
Alternatively, share your form with the whole Organisation,
where all named users can access it or Everyone (Public),
making your form usable by everyone on the internet.
Each Survey is allocated to a unique URL and QR Barcode,
which makes sharing easy.

Access Workforce for ArcGIS through the ArcGIS Online page
and Sign In.
Once logged in, search for your project and open it.

Integrate Apps
Open the Advanced Tab in Workforce and under
App Integration, add a Collector for ArcGIS
WebMap.

Add Collector to Workforce
Select the WebMap saved under your Username.
(Eg. Student@uc#)
Click Next.
Assign the Collector integration to only work with the
Inspection assignment type
Click Done.

Open the Advanced Tab in Workforce and under
App Integration, add a Survey123 for ArcGIS
Form.
Add Survey to Workforce

Select the Survey123 form saved under your Username.
(Eg. Student@uc#)
Click Next.
Assign the Survey integration to only work with the
Maintenance assignment type
Click Done.
