The customer, a greenfield operator, wanted to roll out WiMAX
services in more than 16 countries and had won a few licenses toroll out data and VoIP services.
WiMAX being a state-of-the-art technology and the customer being
a greenfield operator, the customer wanted an expert systemintegrator who could support them in launching operations inmultiple countries.
Regulating Complex Systems toSupport Service ImplementationsWith WiMAX fast gaining ground for high speed capabilities andrequirements from business being dynamic, the customer required aconvergent platform to support different service implementations. The
customer wanted a cost-effective solution with core functions suchas sales management, customer care, rating, billing, invoicing, ordermanagement, provisioning, activation, mediation etc. to enable launch
of innovative and competitive postpaid and pre-paid products. Theneed to integrate with multiple third party systems and interface witha network of multiple vendors along with complex real-time rating
scenarios and charging principles posed challenges to the client.
Developing a Robust BSS/OSSFramework and WiMAX SpecificCRM ApplicationMahindra Satyam’s strong competencies in implementing OracleCommunication Suite products enabled to design and establish arobust BSS and OSS (Business Support System and Operation
Support System) framework for the customer and customize the
solution to provide efficient business processes. Mahindra Satyamfollowed stringent SLAs, proactively worked with all integrationpartners, and worked in tandem with network providers to create
an end-to-end business solution. A customized, WiMAX-specificCRM application was developed and implemented for Lead,Prospect, Sales and Inventory Management.
