Winter Musical – “Smokey Joe’s Cafe! “Smoky Joe’s Café” The Berchmans Winter Musical is just around the corner! Titled "Smoky Joe's Cafe: The Songs

of Leiber & Stoller," the musical has a 1950s rock and roll theme. All Lower School students

from Pre-K through 6th grade are participating.

There will be 2 performances in the girls' school auditorium, both on Tuesday, February 10. The

9 a.m. performance is intended for grandparents and other friends and family members who wish

to attend. The 6:30 p.m. performance is for parents and siblings only.

Dear Parents,

This is just a friendly reminder that all students will need to bring their costumes for the Berchmans Musical to school on Friday, February 6th, to be checked by their teachers. They will also need them for the dress rehearsal on Monday the 9th, and of course for the 2 performances (9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.) on Tuesday the 10th. Please email Mr. Hample or call him at (337) 308-4144, with any questions about the musical. Also, please let him know as soon as possible if your son(s) will be absent from either performance for any reason, so he can plan accordingly.

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you at the show! King Cake Time Again Berchmans will celebrate the tradition of King Cakes each Friday, beginning January 16 and

ending February 13. Parents are asked to send the cakes already cut into serving pieces, and

teachers will hide the babies. Please send napkins as well.

Late Leavers Late Leavers is held in the Berchmans assembly room on Monday through Friday. The hours are

3:15-5:15 P.M. After 5:15 P.M. on Monday through Thursday, all students will be waiting in the

front of the main SSH administration building. The late bus runs Monday through Thursday

only. On Fridays, all students will wait to be picked up from the Berchmans assembly room.

Please note: All students who are picked up from Late Leavers must be signed out by parents or by the designated person responsible for child.

*Ms. Brenda Robert is the staff member who supervises children in the Late Leavers Program at

Berchmans. In the event of an emergency, she may be contacted at 337-322-8226.
