INTEGRATIVE EXERCISE SCIENCE Students majoring in integrative exercise science complete a strong core of exercise science classes as well as biology and biomedical humanities courses. They also complete either a minor to complement their professional goals, or a sports health concentration to prepare for graduate-level medical and allied health programs. Students, in addition, conduct an internship or research project to apply their coursework and laboratory experiences in a practical learning environment. Students choose one area of specialization: • Sports Health • Human Performance • Sports and Fitness Management As part of the integrative exercise science major, students complete five required courses within the department, human anatomy and physiology I and II, two biomedical humanities courses and two electives within the department. An internship or independent research project serves as a capstone experience. Sports Administration: For the student interested in the administration and organization of athletic programs, facilities and personnel.
