Formats for viewing data provide immediate field-wide appreciation of the well integrity status of all wells. Interactive links between views allows quick evaluation of any specific well’s integrity problems.

INTETECH WELL INTEGRITY TOOLKIT –WORLDWIDE IMPLEMENTATION

The BG group selected the Intetech Well Integrity Toolkit for managing its well integrity across worldwide assets. The software was customized to reflect BG Group well integrity management philosophy for testing requirements, acceptance criteria, dispensation for deferred action policy and repair planning and prioritization of actions. Rolled out across operations in the UK, Trinidad, Bolivia, Tunisia, India and Australia, the iWIT software links to existing database systems for accessing production data, chemical analysis of fluids and annulus pressures. A comprehensive database of all installed wellhead, Xmas tree and SSSV safety critical equipment provides the basis for defining the scope of routine testing. Further customizing of reports to provide a standardized format across the globe has

all contributed to better efficiency and clearer communication of well integrity issues within the group. All the systems are linked to “iWIT International” software based at the BG Head office which provides a snapshot overview of the well integrity status of the worldwide wells.. 30 YEARS WELL INTEGRITY HISTORY –iWIT SOFTWARE

ZADCO has been operating the Intetech Well Integrity Toolkit software for 2 years. Linked to their corporate database system the software automatically reflects the installed equipment in the wells. The production data is used to estimate the corrosion damage of the tubing and the presence of annuli pressures is automatically identified with warning traffic lights and email alerts. The system automatically risk-ranks wells which fail to meet safe operational limits.

Following successful use of the system for one year, ZADCO realized the great potential of having all their historical data from the past 30 years of operations available within the single system. Intetech data managers have now entered all the historical change-out of wellhead and Xmas tree valves and seals since start up of every well. All integrity tests and diagnostic pressure blow down and build up tests have been entered into iWIT giving ZADCO access to probably the most comprehensive set of well integrity data available to any operator internationally.

WELL INTEGRITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (WIMS)

Cairn Energy India is currently implementing a well integrity management system. The contract was awarded to Intetech Wells Ltd to prepare the WIMS documentation. This included setting up the framework, writing the Well Integrity Management Manual and then revising all Cairn current well engineering documents that need to be aligned with the new WIMM. The WIMM, meets the requirements of Indian regulations and brings the best appropriate practice to the operator. The scope includes all well types and all phases of the well life: design, drilling, operation, workover and re-entry, suspension and abandonment. INTETECH WELL INTEGRITY TOOLKIT FOR GAS STORAGE WELLS

The ENI group company Snamrete Gas operates about 500 gas storage wells onshore in Italy. Well integrity and control is critical to ensure that there are no losses of the stored gas and to provide guaranteed protection to the environment and public living close to the storage fields. The iWIT software automatically reads injected and produced gas volumes per well allowing tracking of productivity as well as managing all the safety critical SSSV testing and annulus pressure monitoring in real time. Interfacing to the existing production data management system and incorporating a comprehensive well design database within iWIT, the software is fulfilling a vital role for the company.
