Bucks County Family Room

• This beautiful Family Room lived in a new construction development in a rectangular builders grade room. • With a coat of warm paint, furnishings rich in texture a custom media center in black flanked by artwork of

vintage game boards, warming window treatments and touches of accessories to enhance the homeowners personality, the room was complete and ready for a family to live in and enjoy.

A Transitional Family Room enhanced with color

• Painting one wall an accent color and the fireplace black brings your eye into the room allowing the narrow rectangular room to flow with warmth and ease.

• Working with unfinished wood built-ins the homeowner already purchased, we had them stained them in a rich mahogany and joined them by adding a new mantle piece.

• Mounting the television above the fire place was the key to a cohesive floor plan.

• To enhance the overall transitional feel of the room, use of geometric patterns were added to a mix of textures and pops of color.

Game Room

• This elegant game room has it all, a beautiful stone fireplace, whimsical art work, magnificent window treatments, and plenty of room for game night.

Living Room

This living room was collected over many years of marriage and travel. Now downsizing what to keep and what to introduce?

Our jumping off points were the home owners area rug combined with their German heritage inspiring us to create a living room fit for entertaining.

First and foremost space planning was the key for their the large square room. We anchored the space with a 90” sofa, then added 2 pair of custom chairs placed around a round cocktail table. The fabrics and finishes integrated seamlessly with their existing case good pieces.

The window treatments were designed to allow light to flow in this casual yet formal and well traveled living room.

Empty Nester re-do

• With their son off to college, it was time for these empty nesters to re-do their living and dining space. A center hall colonial demands a cohesion of the two spaces. A neutral warm pallet with pops of red and black were the perfect choice.

• The Dining Room, a bit more dramatic with a deeper gold paint and bolder additions of red and black. With the home owners dining set in place we added an area rug to ground the space, window treatments, painted and re-upholstered their dining chairs.

• Meanwhile the Living Room was a play on neutrals, textures and light. Window treatments in a neutral transitional damask pattern for interest and sheers for privacy while allowing light to fill their space.

• The upholstery was designed in a neutral textural chenille with accents of red.

Farmhouse Master Bedroom

• This historic and fabulous farmhouse has plenty of space and windows in its master bedroom.

• With the homeowners upholstery and paint in place, window treatments were key in bringing together the elements of their space.

• We had dormered single windows, dormered triple windows and dormered French doors to tackle.

• By combining natural organic fabrics of linen, silk and woven wood we were able to address all of the homeowners needs for updated style and light control while staying true to their family farmhouse.

• We paired linen printed panels in a warm pallet of blue, brown and cream with silk valances in bronze edged with tassel trim that defines the slightly curved valance. Woven wood shades were inside mounted for light control … the result a warm and inviting master bedroom.

A low cost make-over

• Before and after using the homeowners existing furnishings the room went from crowded and dark to light and modern.

• We did two things:

• Space planning

• Changed the color pallet

• By changing the configuration of the furnishings we were able to open the room up adding additional seating and storage.

• We switched out the homeowners existing window treatments and area rug from the living room and used some pieces from storage.

• Changing the color pallet with one coat from the Benjamin Moore Affinity collection the room was instantly updated.

• The only purchases made were the media center and paint.

• Total cost: $550.00

• With scale, proportion and style as our guide, spaces that once seemed utterly helpless come alive.

It’s all in the details … window treatments add the finishing touch.

Retail Space

• This retail space was a design office owned by myself and my business partner.

• We were fortunate to find raw space in new construction at 1200 sq. feet.

• To meet the needs of the business the space was divided into three; the showroom, client presentation space, and office. What you see here is the showroom. Merchandised with examples of our window treatments, furnishing vendors and accessories for sale.

• With careful planning, this raw space was converted into a smart and efficient sales tool. Our office was both welcoming and inviting for client meetings and presentations.
