Quizás el punto más distintivo de nuestra comarca sea la riqueza natural que alberga, pero no conviene olvidar que las distintas hue-llas arqueológicas datan la presencia humana en la zona al menos desde la Edad del Hierro. Sanabria ha sido, y es, tierra de pequeñas aldeas disemi-nadas entre valles y sierras; a un tiempo aisladas en su propia soledad y también, por su enclave geográfico, vía habitual de paso entre las regiones que la rodean.

No abundan en la Gran Historia menciones a Sanabria, apenas algunos apuntes de pasada sobre reuniones de reyes y marchas de ejércitos en busca de objetivos más estratégicos. Sin embargo nuestros pueblos rebosan de las pequeñas historias de gente corriente, anónima, que fraguaron sus vidas en condiciones a menudo muy difíciles.

En este número les proponemos un recorrido por el antaño Camino Real entre la Me-seta y Galicia, donde el asfalto de hoy quizás no ha conseguido borrar del todo el eco de los pasos de antiguos arrieros, peregrinos, soldados, contrabandistas... etc. La excusa, si es necesaria, es la visita a las fortalezas de Puebla de Sanabria y Monte-rrei, dos hitos defensivos tanto del camino como de la frontera, complementada con la presentación de bodegas y alambiques en las dos regiones. Un atractivo paquete que intenta acercarnos al modo de vida de nuestros antecesores.

No nos olvidamos de la Naturaleza: también les presentamos la Senda del Tejedelo, un bosque de tejos milenarios – una de las manchas más importantes de la penín-sula - de enorme importancia ecológica y, sobre todo, un lugar fascinante donde hasta “sabios profesores” pueden quedar embrujados ante tanta belleza. Así mismo, ampliamos nuestro conocido programa “En busca del Lobo Ibérico” con la posibili-dad de una inmersión más profunda en los territorios de este legendario depredador.

El número se completa con la habitual agenda de eventos y las ofertas de la Hos-pedería de cara al verano – ya a la vuelta de la esquina, no lo olviden. Seguro que alguna de las opciones presentadas se ajusta plenamente a sus necesidades. ¡Les esperamos!

Perhaps the most distinctive of our region is its natural wealth, but we should not forget that different dating archaeological traces of human presence in the area at least since the Iron Age. Vielleicht ist der auffälligste unserer Region ist ihre natürlichen Rei-chtümer, aber wir sollten nicht vergessen, dass unterschiedliche datierung archäologischer spuren menschlicher präsenz in der Re-gion mindestens seit der Eisenzeit. Sanabria war und ist heute ein land der kleinen dörfer zwischen den tälern und hügeln verstreut sind, zur gleichen zeit in seine eigene einsamkeit und auch durch seine geografische lage isoliert, über wie gewohnt durch die umliegenden Regionen.

Kein reich an verweisen auf Sanabria Big Story, nur ein paar letzte notizen über treffen der könige und heere marschieren auf der suche nach mehr strategischen ziele. Aber unsere leute sind voll von kleinen geschichten von gewöhnlichen menschen, anonym, die ihr leben in oft sehr schwierig geschmiedet.

In dieser ausgabe bieten wir einen rundgang durch die alte Straße von Lizenzgebühren zwischen dem Plateau und Galizien, wo der asphalt erreicht ist heute vielleicht nicht löscht alle das echo von den spuren der alten drovers, pilger, soldaten, schmuggler ... usw. Die ausrede, wenn überhaupt, ist der besuch in den stärken von Puebla de Sanabria und Monterrei, zwei meilensteine der straße, wie sowohl defensive grenze, von der präsentation der weingüter und brennereien in den beiden regionen ergänzt. Ein attraktives paket, das die lebensweise unserer vorfahren zu nähern versucht.

Wir vergessen nicht die natur: auch präsentieren wir den Pfad der Tejedelo Forest, ein wald von alten eiben - einer der wichtigsten orte der halbinsel - von enormer öko-logischer bedeutung und vor allem, einen faszinierenden ort, an dem auch “gelehrte Professoren “kann von so viel schönheit heimgesucht werden. Auch haben wir unser programm mit dem titel “Looking for Iberischen Wolf” mit der möglichkeit, ein tieferes eintauchen in die gebiete der legendäre räuber.

Estuvimos en la magnífica conferencia sobre el Castro de As Muradellas de Pilar Lagarejos, organizada por Sanabria Natural en el Centro Micológico de Ungilde. Muy interesante y, además, una buena oportunidad de reencontrarse con viejos amigos que el día a día nos impide ver tanto como quisiéramos.

Lubián gana el primer Premio Eolo a la integración rural de la eólica

La Asociación Empresarial Eólica (AEE) ha decidido premiar a Lubián por tratarse de un municipio modélico en lo que al desarrollo eólico se refiere.

Se trata de un claro ejemplo de un pueblo abocado a la desaparición (población envejecida, emigración de los jóvenes a otras zonas con más trabajo, etcétera) que ha utilizado los recursos generados por la eólica para crear riqueza y empleo.

El paso natural a través de las montañas que hoy recorre la Autovía A-52, antes que

asfalto fue camino de tierra y piedra. Sendero que recorrieron reyes y ejercitos; peregrinos a Santiago y segadores gallegos en busca de jornal por las anchos Campos de Castilla. Las fortalezas de Monterrei y Puebla de Sanabria protegieron el libre paso. Aunque en ocasiones - como en la leyenda del Roble de Codesal - tambien fueron prisión de arrieros demasiado locuaces....

The natural passage through the mountains that now runs the A-52, once was dirt and gravel road. Path traveled kings and armies, pilgrims to Santiago and Galicia harvesters seeking wages by broad fields of Castile. The strengths of Monterrei and Puebla de Sanabria protected free passage. Although sometimes - as in the legend of Oak Codesal - Prison carriers were also too talkative ....

La Leyenda del Roble de Codesal.Esta leyenda nos habla de una historia de amor que, al estilo de Romeo y Julieta, perdura hasta más allá de la muerte. En una esquina del cementerio de Codesal se yergue orgulloso un roble centenario. Dicen que tan imponente árbol sólo se sustenta en dos raíces, que se hunden por separado en la tierra para acabar abrazadas muchos metros más abajo. Has de saber que este roble es el testigo que nos queda de una historia de amor desgraciado, entre una doncella de Monterrei en nuestro vecino Verín y un arriero de Codesal en Sanabria.

Esta leyenda está recogida y versionada en romance en el libro “Memorias y Leyendas” de Argimiro Crespo Pérez. Por la belleza de sus imágenes y la sensibilidad que destila os recomendamos vivamente su lectura.

The Legend of Oak Codesal.This legend tells of a love story in the style of Romeo and Juliet, endures beyond death. In one corner of the cemetery stands proud Codesal an ancient oak. They say so imposing tree is based on only two roots, separate sinking into the ground to stop embracing many feet below. Know that this oak is the witness that we have an unhappy love affair, between a maiden Monterrei our neighbor and a muleteer Verín Codesal in Sanabria.

This legend is covered and versioned in romance in the book “Memories and Legends” of Argimiro Crespo Perez. For the beauty of its images and the sensitivity that I highly recommend distilled reading.

Die Legende von Oak Codesal.Diese legende erzählt von einer liebesgeschichte im stil von Romeo und Julia, über den tod hinaus bestand hat. In einer ecke des friedhofs steht stolz Codesal einer alten eiche. Sie sagen, so imposanten baum auf nur zwei wurzeln, getrennte einsinken in den boden zu stoppen umarmt viele meter unter beruht. wissen, dass diese eiche der zeuge, dass wir eine unglückliche liebe, zwischen einem mädchen in Monterrei unser nachbar und ein maultiertreiber Verín Codesal in Sanabria haben ist.

Diese legende ist überdacht und versioniert im romantik in dem buch “Erinnerungen und Legenden” von Argimiro Crespo Perez. Für die schönheit seiner bilder und der empfindlichkeit, die ich wärmstens empfehlen destilliertes lesen.

El punto inicial de nuestra ruta es el Hotel Rural Hospedería El Pico del Fraile en la pequeña

aldea de Cobreros, en el Parque Natural del Lago de Sanabria, a tan solo 2 Km. de la N-525 y del Camino de Santiago.Desde el Hotel y después de disfrutar de un desayuno casero, partiremos a visitar la bodega Pago de Tespenilla en el pueblo de Asturianos, donde podremos degustar sus fantásticos caldos.Ya por la tarde visitaremos el Castillo de los Condes de Benavente o también llamado el Castillo de Puebla. Aprovecharemos nuestra visita a la Villa Medieval para recorrer su casco antiguo, que sin duda nos trasladará a otra época. La experiencia que te proponemos

Nos acercaremos a esta vieja y erosionada sierra, poblada de abundante y variada Fauna Ibérica salvaje. En todo momento cuidaremos los detalles para evitar el más mínimo impacto, acciones que van a servir en un futuro a los amantes y aficionados a este turismo de naturaleza en sus propias experiencias. Durante un tres días, recorreremos pueblos y su arquitectura tradicional, única en Europa, directamente relacionada con el Lobo Ibérico en dos Espacios Naturales protegidos con presencia del depredador. Realizaremos diferentes “esperas” para la observación de fauna salvaje,al amanecer y al anochecer, donde existe la posibilidad de ver lobos, entre otras especies, en las zonas autorizadas expresamente para esta experiencia por la Reserva Natural.Manejaremos diferente material óptico de observación e identificaremos rastros y huellas de las zonas de paso y límites de territorios de las manadas.

The experience that we will propose

We will approach this ancient, eroded mountains, inhabited by abundant and varied fauna Iberian wild. At all times take care of the details to avoid the slightest impact, actions that will serve in a future lovers and fans of this nature tourism in their own experiences.

Wir werden sich diesem alten, erodierten berge, durch reichliche und abwechslungsreiche Fauna iberischen wilden bewohnt. An allen zeiten kümmern uns um die details zu den geringsten auswirkungen, maßnahmen, die in einem zukünftigen liebhaber und fans dieser art tourismus in ihre eigenen erfahrungen dienen soll vermieden werden.

In einem dreitägigen, kreuzung dörfer und traditioneller architektur, einzigartig in Europa, direkt auf der Iberischen Wolf in zwei Naturschutzgebiete mit anwesenheit der räuber zusammen.Wir machen verschiedene “erwarten”, in bereichen, die speziell für dieses erlebnis durch das Naturschutzgebiet zugelassen. Das wird in der dämmerung machen, gerade für wildtiere, wo wir die chance, wölfe zu sehen, unter anderem arten haben.

Behandeln sie unterschiedliche materialien und identifizieren optischen beobachtung trails und tracks aus den hallen und territorialen grenzen der herden.

Te daremos la bienvenida en el Hotel Rural “Hospedería El Pico del Fraile”. Posteriormente realizaremos las presentaciones en el salón principal, lugar donde hablaremos sobre los datos más importantes de esta Reserva Natural, población de lobos y hábitat de esta Fauna Ibérica, comportamiento de las manadas, alimentación, costumbres y relación con el ser humano.Aprenderemos el buen uso y manejo del material óptico que utilizaremos en las observaciones del fin de semana.

Amanece en la Sierra de la Culebra, un café rápido y nos dirigimos a la zona de observación para realizar nuestra primera espera. En estás acciones al amanecer, intentamos coincidir con el regreso de las manadas a sus refugios diurnos, en pinares cerrados de vegetación.De regreso al Hotel Hospedería El Pico del Fraile, nos espera un merecido desayuno.Después del descanso, en época primaveral, realizaremos un tranquilo paseo por alguno de los caminos de la zona, “Sendas de Lobos”, donde es posible encontrar nuestros primeros rastros.“O Cortello dos Lobos”, visitaremos estas antiguas construcciones, situadas en la localidad de Lubián, dentro de la zona montañosa del Parque Natural Lago de Sanabria. Un recinto circular, excavado en la ladera de la montaña, y cerrado por un muro de piedra, usado hasta hace cerca de 40 años para capturar al Lobo.De regreso a San Pedro de las Herrerías, esta vez por carreteras rurales, antiguas cañadas rodeadas de bosques, para situarnos en una privilegiada zona donde realizar nuestra espera antes del anochecer.

Última oportunidad para observar lobos en libertad, si todavía no hemos tenido suerte en las esperas pasadas.Al igual que los demás días, disfrutaremos de un maravilloso desayuno, antes de dirigirnos a las Corralas de Ferreras, construcciones tradicionales, esta vez, no son trampas para cazar Lobos, se trata de ingeniosos refugios para proteger el ganado ovino del ataque del lobo.Durante esta mañana usaremos nuestro kit de exploración de campo, en las pistas cercanas a esta localidad.
