By this shall all people know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35) Known by Love is the theme of our North Carolina Missions Offering this year. This offering supports disaster relief, medical and dental care, and church planting across our state. Our state goal is 2.1 million dollars and FABC is committed to giving $7,500 toward that goal. You have given $5,310.00 towards this goal.

Would You Like to Help a Child?
Tutoring is beneficial to children; and, rewarding for adults! We will resume tutoring on September 23, 7-8 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.
We are grateful that most of our regular and substitute tutors are returning from last year. In order to serve both returning students and some already on our Waiting List, however, we need more tutors.
Most of our students need help with reading and math. We need tutors for students in Grades 1-12. Students bring their homework. We also furnish work-sheets and other materials for tutors to use with their students. EVERYONE IS QUALIFIED TO HELP A CHILD AT SOME GRADE LEVEL. PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NOT NEEDED!
**Several 10th graders are requesting tutoring in Honors English, World
History and Spanish. **
Please phone Jim & Peggy Abernathy (336-299-3355) for more information AND to volunteer!

AM I SERVING GOD BY HELPING HIS CHILDREN? Please ask yourself this question as you read this.
As more families with children come to FABC, additional help is needed in the children’s ministries. Which of the following will you be willing to do?
1. Serve with the 2-year-olds or 3-year olds in Sunday School every other month? (Two people serve together) 2. Serve during the 11 o’clock service in one of five worship care classes (ages varying from preschool through 5 years) – 1 time every 3 months)? (At least one other person will serve with you.)
WILL YOU PLEASE HELP? Laura Clontz is working very hard, and your help is greatly needed! Please contact Laura at 336-292-3567,
Extension 311, to let her know you will help.
